I know a Husky owner. It’s not a NOX but he still wears a big grin. Must be something they put under the seat. Jealous as hell again NSX, any chance you can post a few piccies?
imperialdataKeymasterThanks for the explanation XV. Can’t quite see the emblem in the corner of the mast, what is it?
imperialdataKeymasterSaw the needle go to nearly 170mph on my Kwak 900 and had to pull to the side to let the bike behind pass, albeit very slowly!
Bike was supposed to do a true 155 tops so I guess it was doing thereabouts.
imperialdataKeymasterKnow what you mean there Radar. The first pillion ride either scares you off bikes or leaves you wanting more. In my case too it was the start of a lifestyle change because (sounds corny but it’s true) ‘biking really is a way of life’.
I too stared in wonder at the Hesketh, but I ‘wondered’ what they were doing building a bike that was so cumbersome.
imperialdataKeymasterJust doing my job (gets on horse and rides away into sunset…..)
imperialdataKeymasterFour post system?
imperialdataKeymasterThanks for the info, XV. Where do you get it all from?
Most trailers I have seen are attached to Goldwings and hence lit up like Christmas trees at night. No problems with nighttime visibility there!
imperialdataKeymasterHi jessman and welcome to the forum. A few bike mags have tested the Gixxers head to head but unfortunately don’t quote wheelies as their landmarks. Shame really as it’s ‘real world’ and it’s fun! I guess for wheelieability (made that word up myself) the 750 has got the edge, but I’m open to being slapped down on this one. Stoppies has to boil down to the braking system and I believe the 600 wins with its great, progressive anchors. As for doughnuts, well my mate’s old Z650 can still cut it with the best, just price up the tyres on the Gixxers to see what’s the cheapest to replace!
imperialdataKeymasterHi Chris. Problems logging in and out usually stem from your browser’s handling of cookies. If you’re using Internet Explorer, try ‘Tools’, ‘Internet Options’, ‘Delete cookies’. Make sure you have all passwords and user names required for your other web sites before doing this. While you are in the Internet Options, try ‘Settings’ and tick ‘Every visit to the page’.
To get a lot of free disk space back, try ‘Delete files’ too.If it still doesn’t work, try ‘Internet Options’, ‘Security’ and move the slider to ‘Low’.
Hope this helps, please let us know either way.
imperialdataKeymasterMirror problem is usually down to the tolerances used in its manufacture. Most bike mirrors use a ball which swivels in a socket. Small ball/large socket means wobbly mirror! If only one does it and the bike is from a dealer, I’d take it back and order a new one. As for the spluttering and conking out when warm, again this should be looked at. You may have a fuel problem when warm.
£300 – £500 is a lot of money for the test but well worth the end result.
imperialdataKeymasterFantastic! Nice and unusual but a tad expensive at £4k plus.
imperialdataKeymasterWelcome Razor. Pyrenees are awesome aren’t they? Even the rain can’t dampen the enthusiasm for those roads. I totally with about your comment, stop thinking about it and do it!
@Wheelie – I’ve sent you some more info via PM on the Santander stuff.
imperialdataKeymasterHe should have given them Ferraris. Try driving one of them at 30 mph!

Never had a bad ride on it, just waiting for the sun!!!Oh, you’re in the UK then…..
imperialdataKeymasterAs we know, you can prove anything with statistics. Some ‘national’ surveys are carried out on as little as 5 people, it was revealed a while ago. I do wonder where they get their data from on these ‘representative’ surveys because I certainly have not been asked recently (unless it’s those students on the High Street…..)
And another thing, it has been proven that 97.34% of statistics are incorrect anyway!
