Yes. Think it’s a mixed bag. Love the alloy rims, the valve covers look nicer and a couple more bhp is good, but those side panels would have to go.
r6ymyParticipantWatching the development of your bike with interest. I really fancy a V7 as a second bike, probably a Classic in the black with orange stripe. The Racer is a bit OTT for me, so I think I’ll lightly customise a Stone or Classic. I think the spoked wheels really suit the bike, but also like this one with the alloy wheels powder coated in silver, looks very late 70’s.

I spent a week on a walking holidays in the Picos in June and saw loads of british reg bikes out there, and some amazing roads through the valleys. Really fancy going back on the bike, certainly in the areas we were in the cost of living was very cheap, and the Sidra and tapas were excellent Now you’ve whetted my appetite to see of the other areas too.r6ymyParticipantI went to the meet at the Village Inn, Tewkesbury last night, wish I’d read your comments about ignoring the 7pm start time, arrived just before 7 and the place was heaving. I was stood opposite the pub when they were calling out the raffle winners, and thought I recognised ellesimo from the photos on the site , but wasn’t sure until I got home and looked at the photos on one of the reviews. I did see a very new shiny looking GS there, was that Ol?
I was there on my MV Turismo, parked up on the grass near the ice cream van.
I’m away for the next couple of weeks but will try to make one of the September meets, next time I will say hello.August 17, 2016 at 10:37 pm in reply to: Brackley Festival of Motorcycling, Sunday 14th August #69247r6ymyParticipantP1050592.jpg by Neville Guibarra, on Flickr

Went in the car with my best friend who was up from Kent for the weekend, and met my son and one of his friends rode over and met us there.
Spent most of the day on the high street, looking at the race paddock, the cafe racers and customs.
The best bit was watching the “demonstration” rides of various race bikes up and down the high street circuit.
It felt like a mini TT, being inches away from racing bikes being thrashed along public roads.
There was a full spectrum of bikes there, from 1950’s Guzzi singles, 250 and 500 Honda 4’s, MV 3 and 4 cylinder replicas, Tridents and Rocket 3’s, JPS Nortons, up to Carlos Checa’s Desmosedici and 1198 WSBK, a few current Moto 3 and 2 bikes.
There were four Honda 250 4 replicas, most of the time they were riding as two pairs, with a couple of them properly racing, and occasionly they would catch up with the other two, so you would have four of them flat out up the hill together – an amazing sound.
I went to the Tewkesbury Bikers Nite tonight, and while queing for a drink I heard two guys behind me complaining the the displays and stalls on the field at Brackley were not very interesting, and also moaning that the price of entry had gone up to £7.50 this year.
We watched some of the trials demos and enjoyed that, but the stands weren’t great – could do with a few more bike related product stands. As for £7.50, I thought it was godd value for a days entertainment in terms of the racing, but strangely that’s the bit you don’t have to pay to watch!r6ymyParticipantUnfortunately I can’t make this now, have to give my daughter a lift to Stansted airport.
Hoping to get to Bristol the following weekend though. maybe see some of you there https://www.biamf.co.uk/r6ymyParticipantBe good to meet up and say hello. Mini MV meet!
Sure, will let you know neare the time if I’m definitely going.
r6ymyParticipantThanks for pointing this out, have booked to go with my son.
r6ymyParticipantNice review. I’ve looked at this at the NEC and London shows and have been very impressed, if I was in the market for this type of bike I’d definitely be considering this.
I’ve got a Harley test ride coming up some time, waiting for the Oxford branch to contact me.
I’ve always been a total Harley hater (overweight underpowered tractors), but have been lured in by their holiday competition. Maybe I’ll see the lightr6ymyParticipantPrescott is a great day out, I plan on going again this year.
r6ymyParticipantNice nostalgia trip, I had plastic models of the 750-4, H1, Z1 as a kid, but was old enough to ride bikes in the later 70’s.
By then for me the only superbikes I wanted came from Italy – why doesn’t this film mention any of them. 900SS, Jota, Mk1 LeMans, those were the bikes I dreamt of.r6ymyParticipantHi and welcome.
Flickr change their interface fairly often and now make you jump through hoops a little to share the photos. It’s not too difficult though and it’s a great resource.
Make sure the photo is publicly viewable. If it’s public it will appear in your ‘Photostream’.
Click on the sharing arrow (bottom right).
Select BB Code.
Select medium size (this helps your images to load more quickly).
Copy the code and paste it into your Bikemeet post.Any problems give us a shout.
Thanks, eventually worked out it was an issue with Microsoft Edge, the BB code would scroll of the screen before you could copy it, all OK with Chrome now
