Did a nice 80 mile trip around the Northumberland coast today, managed 68mph on the A1, down a hill.

Ok don’t laugh, but the hell can I find a ‘kill’ switch on this bike, is this legal?

Took the bike out on its first long run today, 90 mile on long sweeping roads ( with small tyres )in the Northumberland hills. Bike was fine, coasted along at 50 – 60mph, although thinking I was wearing ‘the right gear’ I quickly realised that my feet were bloody frozen. Lot of lessons learnt today. Start reading up for my theory test next.

The weather this week has been good, managed to use it for work all week, got tossed about a bit by wind but very enjoyable.

    Hi
Just had my first bike delivered, Yamaha YBR 125, bought on ebay on christmas day after spending weeks looking for something to get experience on but not spend the earth, its got a few more knocks on it than shown in ebay pics, but nothing bad. Its just been brought up to Northumberland all the way from Cambridge via Crewe on a bike carrier.
I nearly bought the same model from my local dealer and it was £450-00 more and not as tidy, pleased I took my time now.

The centre was in Blyth, Northumberland, apparently the villan had been about all day taking pics from a distance, I never noticed, just too happy to be riding a bike, out on the open road was beautiful, wind, drizzle, motion. Totally hooked.

I’m 41 and passed my car test about twenty years ago, the guys in the office say I wouldn’t need to sit my CBT to ride a 125, any ideas?
I’ve been on various sites whih various conflicting advice.

Cheers, will they have to take their CBT before they can get on a 125?
