ThumperParticipantWatch out for the light speed camera just behind Europa.
Personaly, I think the wobble of the stars oribit noticed by the astronmers, was merley a Harley cornering around the mountain roads in Chile!
ThumperParticipantHi Triumph, I pleased to hear you find collecting bikes irresistible…..me too!
Boy are you going to miss them when you are over in the UK.
As far as the licence is concerned…I’m sorry I dont know, but the link about seemed pretty useful.
You mention a 250cc to go from Kingston upon Thames to Edinburgh….huummm….I would go for something bigger if I were you.
Have you thought about a 500 or 600. This sort of mileage warrants a bike that is not spinning to fast at motorway speeds.
I’m sure the forum members can recommend some possible bike candidates.
Why are you thinking of a 250, and which one di you have in mind? – Am I missing something, altough I understand you need to get a full licence. cheersThumperParticipantLong way Down eh?….Michael Palin did somthing similar a few years ago, most enjoyable.
Riding though Africa sounds fantastic.I hope the boys don’t spend half of the schedule trying to circumnavigate London traffic though!
The hairy bikers take some beating too for entertainment. Bring it on Charlie & Ewan.
ThumperParticipantIt makes me crazy seeing these bike become so rare.
I miss big 2 strokes like mad, and I am especially naffed off how the TDR250 I sold a few months ago has rapidly appreciated!
I picked the worst time possible to sell te baby! never mind eh?
Ebay…. here we go again…….!ThumperParticipantHi Pete, glad you seem to be back on the mend again now.
I just wondered about the Suzuki choice….isn’t there another Triumph you would like to have as a second bike?
What about a complet change like a scrambler, or a maybe 675?

All the best, ThumperThumperParticipantGreat read, and as radar said I loved my TDR and would seriously consider another. I am two stroke fan too, I have an RD250, a RD350YPVS and then the TDR.
ThumperParticipantIt sounds like you’ve got you’ve got the riding bug bad! [Nice one Gypsy!]
Welcome to the Forum, and long may the excitment, that we all share continue.
ThumperParticipantHi E1,
Sounds like a blocked Jet in the carb to me.
But I’m amazed more damage has not been done by running transmission oil ILO 2 stroke.
Please take care with any seals the trans oil could have been in contact with, as the additives in trans oil are not always compatible.
Good luck!ThumperParticipantCongratulations to both of you …. Fantastic!
Come on then Sid – Get your get your brackets sorted out for a side car on the XJR !
ThumperParticipantThe start of the season is right on us now, not long to wait mate!
Rossi will be so tough to beat, but we need someone pushing him all the way.ThumperParticipantAbsolutely Fantastic !
I guess I had a narrow escape on this one…else I could of being shakin’ my tush too!
