Nice review, the 1200GS is a huge leap on. Mine is a 2004 model and gotta say it’s hard to fault, just miss the power. If only it had another 40hp would be perfect
I enjoyed you GS when I rode it, well as much as I do any BMW…
I think that could be a reference to the “Hard and tight” comment…
Also any review of a German bike that gets the French phrase ‘joie de vivre’ in is OK with me.

@SneakyPete – Are there still people supplying the fibreglass panels or did you have to make your own?
Heh, nope, I found two frond end mouldings, one in Reading, the other in Slough, stuck ’em together and glued ’em back on the Bug. Story goes, when Bugs were new and you crashed it, the factory would ask how fast was the impact speed and send you a pre-determined chunk of body.

The KTM is a no go for me SES…… i couldn’t put my feet on the deck when i was sat on it! :o DOH!!
Maybe I would, I preferred the the R1150 to the GS.
