Great write up Radar.
Reckon the mpl ( miles per light salad) for this forum ride out could be a record?
I really enjoyed the day and even having to listen to “under the sea” on constant rotation for 2.5 hours from the float in front didn’t take the shine off!
Thanks for coming along, your support is most appreciated. I can still hear that music in my head!
One highlight for me was the little old dear who rocked up to the stand on her mobility scooter…here we go I thought…only to be told how much she loved bikes, how her and her hubby used to go everywhere on their Norton and finally that she was off to watch some bike racing and the F1!
RadarModeratorHaha, nothing to do with publicity seeing as AMG Mercedes own a big chunk of MV?
Absolutely nothing of course!
How did the Dragster RR do on the TC forum ToL15…it’s first real try out?
RadarModeratorWell 4 of us will be riding in the calvacade today and then parked up on the showground next to the Mentor Link stand in order to show of the bikes and draw attention to the work mentor link do.
I will bung up some pictures later
RadarModeratorGlad you are enjoying it keep us posted.
Seems you share your passion for the Dragster with a certain L Hamilton, occupation F1 jockey
See even they know bikes are way more exciting!
RadarModeratorLooks like another cracking meeting. Yet again my curse hit. I was out on a bike (my 550) but had to head straight home from work and then dash to collect my car from the garage when it was undergoing open heart surgery!
I will make a meet this year!!
RadarModeratorThe example run by freelance motorcycle journo and founder of BIKE magazine has been pinched! Apparently these bikes are top of the pops with the light fingered brigade now
RadarModeratorBy the way the Italian for Tail tidy?
Coda Ordinate
RadarModeratorWell to be honest, not much to report…in fact nothing. I have toyed with the idea of selling the RD to free up some room (and cash!!), but think I would regret it the second it went.
I have now found a chap who do a full resto on my paintwork for around £650. This includes repairs to cracks and all decals correct for the F1
I will see what happens…watch this space….but not too closely!
August 31, 2015 at 4:35 pm in reply to: Ducati S2R1000 2008 – 1st Impressions… and few updates along the way #66708RadarModeratorTime for a little update on the Ducati as the 2 years of ownership landmark has passed. To be honest all quiet on the Duke front, apart from the glorious roar from the carbon Termis!
Only around 400 miles covered this summer, but all of them have been reliable and enjoyable…the bike really is a joy to throw around.
Due a service now, but the only problem so far has been one small fixing working loose and I have had to charge the battery a couple times.
The biggest problem for the Duke is the MV Agusta 1090RR Brutale I rode recently!!
RadarModeratorGood luck with the new machine, look forward to seeing it in the flesh.
Looks way better with the tail tidy
RadarModeratorHow do i attach photos please ?

RadarModeratorSome feedback on the Facebook link to your review from a friend of mine who rides a Tracer:
Looks like he liked the bike in the end. If you’re picky you’d find things to dislike. More expensive bikes may do some bits better, critique what it is in its price bracket and it is astonishing.
However I must put people off thinking about getting one, soon they’ll be everywhere!
Then Elessimo:
It did indeed win me over – and as you say for the price it’s amazing! And my pillion (even more picky than me) called it “fun” – which is more complimentary than her critique of the 800 & 1200GSs..
Back to my friend:
Initially my pillion didn’t get on with the bike, turns out it was actually the getting on and off that proved problematic. Now I just put the top box on and she is as happy as happy can be, rather happy being on it now.
My picky reference wasn’t aimed your way, the forums and FB group seems full of people moaning about handling (high speed wobble), the seat, the screen, tyres … Just given up logging onto them!Ellesimo again:
Didn’t notice any high speed wobbles or any handling issues around our twisties, though i didn’t (quite) exceed the ton…. The screen is better than the touring screen on my TDM. Personally I think this bike is a steal at that price; when I find a bike that is perfect in every way I’ll let people know!
Good to see the reviews getting read and raising a response.
August 20, 2015 at 10:08 pm in reply to: MV Agusta 1090 Brutale (2012) – The Silk Sledgehammer #68752RadarModeratorNothing stopping you modifying another Brutale though Tony…. Seems like you have found your dream machine!
I did think it was fantastic and no mistake
RadarModeratorIf I had the money I’d buy one of these and put it in the front room
Me too…
