I have my 1982 Honda CB250RS which is standard apart from the exhaust (and the dented tank!). I do enjoy riding it just as much as the T Cat, but in a different way. Nice bike to chill on after a stressed out day at work.
So far the hunt for a bike has seen me look at a Honda VT500E (a mate bought it), that GSX550 ~ just didn’t want it enough, a Guzzi V65 Lario that was sold (really fancied that one though) and I have had an eye on a mate’s RD350YPVS for ages. I know you will take the mick, but I want a standard one and this has been hacked about a bit. Goes well though, really enjoyed a ride I had on it some months ago. Also missed a 1984 GPz750 by miutes (lucky escape?)
So basically no I havn’t yet!

    saw a nice R6 that I might sell the T Cat for…

While GSX Hoolie’s method would work, it is perhaps a little…direct! Many bikes have rivets that hold in an end plate on the end of the exhaust silencer (or can). However I don’t think this is the case with the Vulcan (it’s illogical Captain), as if I remember correctly it has slash cut pipes. I thjink if you want a better sound after market pipes might be your best option.

PS. Don’t save for a HD, go for a 2.3 liter Triumph!!

Thanks Wheelie and Cookeye (for the PM). 5 months on and still have not had the chance to do anything about my sisters Ped.

Sorry I didn’t get back to you sooner XV. I have been away on business and not been able to get to go on the web. My company can be a bit funny about it.
Don’t worry about reporting the van this time, it is probably too late anyhow. But he will be there again, I use this road quite a bit, and I make a detailed note of his position next time. I’m getting a phone that takes piccies this week…

Great Web name, and keep up the good work with the 13-19 year olds!

I sold my last Superdream (a DX don’t you know – the posh one) to somebody who was going to RESTORE it!! Takes all sorts I suppose!

It is nearly ready on http://www.forum99.co.uk/car

Be patient as ID copied over a lot of the bike forum stuff and I have been re-jigging it for a car orientated slant, but some posts I have left on to give the site a start content wise. PC problems have slowed progress.
It will be slow at first with only a few members, so be patient and take a look.

    Cheers

Thanks for going to the trouble of looking this stuff up. I have decided not to buy the GSX as I am finding it hard to find time to ride the two bikes I currently have!
