Donate – Or Imperial Data will have you sorted!RadarModeratorWelcome aboard mate. Let us know how the C50 rebuild goes, I loved the one that I owned many years ago. Check out a post about it in members bikes.
Mine was a 1972 model BTW

Donate – Or Imperial Data will have you sorted!RadarModeratorWelcome to the Forum. Good collection of bikes there. The Yamahas especially! The Diablo posts are well worth reading as you say.
Look forward to hearing more about your adventures and bikes, especially more detail on that Indian blast on the Enduros.Love the ghats too for bends. Some Geordie bikers I used to know called good road “Crankies” if memory serves. Tends to conjure up images of a crap Scottish comedy duo though!

Donate – Or Imperial Data will have you sorted!RadarModeratorHi Scouser, good to see you on here again. Big post coming up on the C90. Just posted about the C50 I had donkeys years ago in Members bikes.
Take it easy mate.
Donate – Or Imperial Data will have you sorted!RadarModeratorMy FZ750,same engine as the FZX but in a sports bike frame, topped with a seat as comfortable as having a flick knife up your chuff, would pull 145 very easily. Some left too. Fantastic engine. Handling was OK, but the brakes were a bit weak when I turned up the wick a bit.
Why are Yamahas so good?RadarModeratorLiving

Donate – it makes you feel good!RadarModeratorMessage to all: Has been a few good meets “in there” over the last 2-3 week. Generally from about 11:30pm onwards. Take a peek, there is a better chance of somebody else being in there these days.
Recent Stars; Gixer, Toggs, Thumper, Katana and some bod from Rio alledgedly!

Donate – it makes you feel good!RadarModeratorTo reply to my own question; Brakes. When I look at my T Cat’s superbly powerful brakes, and then look at the lash up on my RD, the progress in the 10 years that seperates the bikes is obvious. Things have also moved on a long way from the bvrakes fitted to the T Cat, to the Radially mounted brakes on the latest crop of sportsbikes. How much more can the big four continue to push the envelope? The likes of the R1,ZX10R and the Blade have now reached such levels of overall performance (not just braking),that I really struggle to see areas where bikes could be made technically better in a way that can be applied on the roads by a reasonably competent rider. Also I wonder if these changes, fantastic though they are have actually added to motorcycling enjoyment, or just to its expense and danger?
This is a real question for me righty now as I thinking seriously about chaging the T cat for a newer, more techically able bike. But what will I really be getting for the big expense involved?
