Does anyone know of a supplier of an off the peg stainless steel four into one for my little early 70’s Honda? I can find chrome steel and custom made pipes of course but nothing I can just buy and bolt on.

Well I hadn’t, but I have now. Thanks very much. That looks a very decent system indeed and not many more £££s than the mild steel BSM product that I wa previously considering.
I’ve emailed them to ask what grade of SS they use and if they can make it in 304 grade.

Colin Fitch tells me that they fabricate exclusively in 304.
    Sounds good to me

Does 304 relate to the thickness or the resistance to corrosion?

    304’s the cheap stuff – basic alloy…

I thought 409 was the basic stuff, 304 is better and 304L is better still.
Is 409 is not used anymore for exhausts?

afaik 304’s the basic stainless alloy, cant remember the other numbers we use but it maybe that 304 is the minimum required for food surfaces (stuff we deal with)..

however, i would assume that as its only for an exhaust – they would use the cheapest grade possible.
