If you used the Reliant engine, you could then use the original propshaft, shortened where necessary. I seem to remember that you could remove the crown wheel and pinion and use a bike sprocket, literally bolted onto the Reliant axle after a bit of light machining. To tension the chain you would then have an adjustable rear axle or a jockey sprocket/tensioner assembly. I personally think that because of probable alignment problems with bike engine sprocket and rear axle sprocket, I would try and fabricate some kind of intermediate shaft which could be tensioned and also re-geared with different sprockets.
imperialdataKeymasterTry https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=trike+building+reliant+&hl=en&ie=ISO-8859-1 for a good start on the subject, some good links there.
Otherwise you’ll need SVA (Single Vehicle Approval) so have a look at the government website on https://www.via.gov.uk/vehicle_testing/sva/sva.htm
Hope this helps, let us know when you start it.
imperialdataKeymasterNice bikes. Always thought they looked a bit frumpy but they went well. Nice story Radar, hope for you that the wife never reads it.
imperialdataKeymasterWow, beefy. That’s not a collection that’s a dealership! Nice one. Obvious question now that someone had to ask:
Are you married?
PS This is not a proposal…..
imperialdataKeymasterCan’t give much help there mate although some members may be able to. Built a Lotus Seven replica once and had a great time doing it. Learnt a lot about the real design of a car through it. I know the reliant back axle lends itself to a bike engine well, ie chain drive can be adapted to suit driving two wheels via the axle. What engine are you using?
imperialdataKeymasterLove all of those Suzy GT’s. They’ve got real character. I also rode a kettle (GT750) a few years ago and I really loved it. I guess that the more easy a bike is to ride the less involvement you get with it (unless you’re on the limit!) and, in a roundabout sort of way, the less fun you have on it.
imperialdataKeymasterHave a look at the new help file I’ve posted in the “How to use this forum” section. If it still seems a bit vague let me know and I’ll modify the help file. Don’t forget, you need a picture of your bike to exist somewhere on the Web first.
We’ll be interested to see it!
imperialdataKeymasterSounds like BA to me.
imperialdataKeymasterAdaware is on http://www.lavasoft.de
Spybot is on http://www.safer-networking.orgimperialdataKeymasterHave you tried Spybot or Adaware programs to see if they detect and can delete it? Be a bit careful with this one Tosh because it dials international numbers, not internet numbers (ie local call rate or freephone).
Hit ctrl, alt and delete at the same time and see if the program pdialer.exe is running. Click once on it and select end process and see if that kills it temporarily.
Sorry to say that this is usually installed from Porn or Warez sites and is normally done by popping up a box with any text on it which you OK to close.
To prevent things like this happening again, set your internet security level to medium or greater in tools, internet options, security menu. Any probs, let me know what browser and operating system you have (for example IE6.0.2600 and Windows XP Pro etc).
imperialdataKeymasterLol[]
imperialdataKeymasterExcellent mate. Better than the show guide!
imperialdataKeymasterGorgeous bike at the time but now looks a little “sports tourer” ish.
Swear filter is sitting in the background and occasionally picks up the odd ‘proper’ word with a rude word enveloped inside. No spelling mistakes, just me being over-cautious.
Although, that said, it’s for the same reasons the ‘powers that be’ on the Web don’t allow http://www.sc**thorpe.co.uk

Radar was the last poster because he edited his post.imperialdataKeymasterAt least with Hugh Grant’s stuttering it reminds you of a KH250 on a cold morning…..
