Hi Nevis and welcome. I know what a Kymco looks like but haven’t a clue about how they ride etc. Maybe you can tell us their pro’s and con’s. They do look great value for the money.

A project bike is always a great place to start learning mechanics. You can usually make your money back if you work on it and sell it on later. Buy a good manual which explains the mechanical side and use forums like this one for technical help if you get stuck.

Happy biking and good luck with the test.

Hi and welcome to the forum. Had a quick search and there’s lots of manuals out there, in particular workshop manuals, for sale quite cheap on the auction sites. Try

for a list of links. Hope someone on here can help meanwhile with your questions.

It’s not the first time we’ve had members who love the smell of 2-stroke etc (myself included). I think there’s a gap in the market for bottled smells like that. As for sidecar speedway, I’ve never seen it live and always wanted to. Now it’s harder to see I regret not going when I had the chance before. Loony stuff!

Seriously though, you’ve got me really interested in swapping my sportsbike for an SM. I fancy a bit of a change.

Part owned one once with a mate. It’s strange what you do when you’re 17 because of Twiggy (she was a superslim glamour model in the UK). First bike I ever made a profit on though.

IE6 bombed out on https://www.darrenbourne.co.uk/scripts/save_petition.cgi. Page not displayed error.
All scripts seemed OK till then.
Refreshed screen and got correct page (acknowleged signing)
Could not see my signing when refreshing your main site. Does it take a while to process?

Hi Daz and welcome. Good work you’re doing on a good cause. Hope you get the success you need on a very important subject. Feel free to plug the site in the links section.

BTW I experienced the same probs as Wheelie. I’m using Mozilla Firebird browser, will try later with IE6.

Welcome to the forum Vader. Feel free to post anywhere on the forum for info and help. You can drop a free ‘bike trailer wanted’ advert in the buy and sell section.

How do you find the ZX9? I have an ageing GPZ900R that I’m really fond of, a great all-round bike.

Welcome to the forum, Lex. I never went in for the XS and CBX but the others certainly appealed. 80’s was really interesting from a development point of view, lots went on in that decade.
