GSX – technically what happens is this:-
Current flows through the water, which is the transfer of electrons, from Anode to Kathode (reverse of what you might think.. the electron movement is from 0v (gnd) to the +12v). Electrons comprise the outer particles of the silver atoms, and in turn some of these atoms transfer across with the electrons, causing the plating.
Just be careful of the bubbles given off from the electrodes.. you’re creating hydrogen and oxygen… BOOM!Science lesson over.
