FINALLY made it down to the workshop for a few hours, though there’s crucial repairs and moving of stuff around to optimise performance (after just throwing the contents of my house in there) I managed to get a couple of hours spinning some spanners, makes a nice change!!

Not a great deal to say but it’s something, I find it a lot easier to cover the whole build In one go but as it is updates here and there will have to do. Since the bike stopped running November time (ish) it’s pretty much sat in this condition pending a good cleaning.

As you can see parts sat everywhere and as it goes I’ve managed to lose a part that pretty much holds it all together so I’m not pleased, also snapped another cam cover bolt, turns out all the threads have stretched so that’s probably why they keep snapping, but £3 odd each from Honda is a joke!!

Anyway at the time of leaving it looks like this.

That’s near enough all clean less the engine as it needs a good de-grease, bolts cleaned, threads tapped out, loctite and copper grease where needed. Foot peg hangers cleaned and re-built with brand fire new rubbers, they were about £4 a piece!

I will hopefully get down there again on Tuesday maybe as I have a few sexy parts to bolt on, and what sort of a person would I be if I didn’t share pics of those as well, gosh I’m nice to you guys.

That’s a laser extreme exhaust (I think) ive always liked the simple looks of these but they are not cheap so I never bothered, but struck a deal with a lad off another forum so all is good. And it looks loud so that is good enough for me, chop and weld needed.

Talon Hard-Annodised rear sprocket, one tooth less. I always thought Renthal sprockets were the way forward but after meeting one of the streetfighter lot who does the world wheelie speed record thingy he reccomnended Talons as they last longer, (and he is sponsored by them) so I thought why not! £37, any size you need and it weights just 274g. It’s always good to drop some weight when you’re a heavy giant like me.

That’ll do for now, better get some more parts ordered. Ta raaaaaaa for now

Here she is then. My £100 engine, it’s not much to look at but you may notice it has an extra hole. Look closely. Obviously when I bought it that’s all the damage I thought it had so a £20 bottom crankcase would have sorted it out into a good un’ WRONG AGAIN!!

Took the ignition cover off, and there was my hole secluded to the bottom crankcase only, but then it hit like a knife in my back, some absolute tool has over tightened the cover so much, it’s snapped the casting away and then snapped the the bolt in the last 10mm (the only 10mm left) of the case, so it’ll have to be a new set of crankcases now..blah! The bolt could be drilled out but as it is, I’m still missing 10-15mm of thread so it’s not acceptable! Still don’t care, engine was still a bargain ;)

It was rumoured to have Kent cams fitted, as soon as I got it to the workshop the Cam cover was off……..and……..wait for it………no Kent cams :(

They might have been welded and reground but I won’t know til I whip them out. Still saved £400 on the engine anyway so who cares!?

I’m not positive it’ll fit anymore as I accidentally sold it! Haha

Nothing to report yet, nothing more done on the bike.
