Just another thought for ya Champs me old mate……
Speed MonsterParticipantDo you know how tyres are measured Champs?? The reason i ask is i’ve never heard of tyres that are made to those sizes. The standard 120/70/12 size for peds is quite a wide one for something that weighs just a bit more than your old raleigh griffter.
I don’t think a 90 or 80 would seat well enough to be of any use!!
Speed MonsterParticipantI honestly Can’t remember Radar, I THINK his name was Tony……
Speed MonsterParticipantThank you Gents!!
Speed MonsterParticipantGreat to hear from you too Radar mate! What ever you can give will be great!!
Great to hear your sister made a full recovery!!
Speed MonsterParticipantI’m on broadband, it still took me about 2 hrs to post them in the 4 froums i’ve posted them in so far. I’ve got another one to st them in and then do the editing/tweaking/fettling to get rid of the reg no’s etc! I’m gonna be at this until this time next week!![][][]
Glad ya like the pics folks!
Speed MonsterParticipantWouldn’t or couldn’t have missed it Simone! Chuffed to have been part of it!
Speed MonsterParticipantI apologise for not scrubbing the reg no’s and no comments but i’ve posted this lot in 4 different forums! A bit too much to be faffing around with!
Speed MonsterParticipantNow I’ve done nearly 1200 on her and I’m still finding out exactly what she can do handling wise, still need to get the suspension set up properly, i’m clueless on how much tweaking to do with which adjusters. She is certainly much easier to flick in a double bend than the ZXR was, (the whole “mass centralisation” thing gets m vote…it does work!!) but the ZXR stayed on the line i put her much better. Either way, i’m finding out more every time i go out on her that made the right choice! Once i’ve got her set up right, she’s gonna be perfect for me.
As with everything in life, she’s not 100% perfect, she has got a few minor niggles:
Gearbox can be a bit notchy at times, but nothing really worth writing home about.
The fueling can be a bit jerky at low revs when you roll off, again that’s not enough to really bother me, i don’t spend much time at that part of the rev range!
My ZXR had braided hoses fitted on the front. I haven’t managed to get the HEL’s fitted on the gixer yet. You can certainly feel the difference in the bite if you need to give the anchors a good tug!
The GSXR is a great bike and with just a few minor tweaks she’s gonna be awesome! I’m loving her! Here’s to many, many, many happy thousands of miles with her!!
Speed MonsterParticipantGot it!!!
Speed MonsterParticipantI did find a clip with it being ridden. I’ll see if i can find it again.
Speed MonsterParticipantNUTS!!!

Speed MonsterParticipantYou’re very welcome Pete! Will be good to meet ya mate!
Speed MonsterParticipantYou’re on Pete!! There’s loads of great roads down here, so it’s guaranteed we’ll have a great time of it!!
