I’m jealous as hell guys. My last off roader that I bought was a 3 wheel buggy for the kids. I still have some credibility though, I managed to fall off it being stupid. Who needs a bike?

Have a few wheelies for me, I’ll be back (in about 13 years…..)

Never had a scooter, but while we’re all coming out of the closet I’ve had several step-thru’s and part owned a Honda Melody. That’s enough for now…..

Some pretty radical scooters about now though. Must try to have a go on one.

I wanted one before but now I think I want one more. Nice description Cookeye.

What advantage do the wide rims give you (apart from the larger tyre contact area hence grip?). Always thought this was more ‘pose value’ than functional.

Ooh, Castrol R. Been a while since I sniffed that wonderful smell. Used to wind the window down in the car (much to the family’s annoyance) whenever a 2-stroke overtook, just in case he was ‘running on R’. Do they still run pre ’65 motocross?

To an English person, the last photo of the Golf V6 at 200mph looks suspect at first glance because it’s being overtaken by a lorry! It’s about time you Dutch drove on the correct side of the road….

PS In none of the pictures is anyone holding the steering wheel, they must be making hand gestures to the Gatsos[;)]

Nice family collection there. How old is your lad? Just wondering at what age they can start biking.

Most kids nag to go to McDonalds not upgrade their engine capacity! Good on yer[;)]

It’s a trick used by many sites now to add the icon to your favorites menu and address bar. It only works in Internet Explorer and looks pretty good. Do a search in Google for Favicon and you’ll dig up more info.

    Not a hack in sight[:)]

    Usual method on ferries is:

Bike on centre stand. Rope from boat joist to rider’s footrest, wrap it round and back to joist.

My advice is to take a towel or old rag with you and slip it over the seat and side panel before they strap your bike down. An oily rope which is anchored to your footrest does wonders to rub the paint off your side panel and dirty your seat. If you get chance, strap your bike down yourself and let them check it.

They do have wooden wedges which they put under the tyres on rough crossings. Find a few of these and put them under your tyres just in case. Even the calmest of crossings can get choppy in the middle of the channel.

Afraid not at the moment. As the site gets larger we will need to pay more for the hosting and then we will probably decide to move onto faster servers with built-in email capability. The price for hosting is very high and the site does not make any money. We could host gambling adverts and links to hardcore porn rubbish, but prefer to have a clean and fast site. Until then, you’ll have to monitor the site for replies.

We would like all members to pass on our website address to friends who may be interested in the hope that we can build a friendly forum community in a short space of time.

    Thanks for your support

Please read the frequently asked questions (FAQ) at the top right of this page for how to include images in your post.

Images do tend to slow the speed of the page loading and we don’t generally encourage it, opting more for a quick loading forum. We do however turn a blind eye if it’s a picture to prove a point or relevant to the conversation. Please NO JOKE IMAGES like we receive in our email every day! The moderators will use their discretion where images are concerned and delete where inappropriate.

Yes, links to pictures can be posted by putting the FULL web address of the image including the https:// at the start.

To show the image in your post, highlight the address and click on the “insert image” icon.

    Bear in mind that:

    1. Moderators may delete any posts if the image is inappropriate or too large. Large images can slow down the page loading.

    2. If the image is moved or the link to it changes, the image will not display.

Finally, I’ve got to say, Harald, you’re not as I imagined you…..

To quote a lyric from George Michael’s Careless Whisper:

“There’s no comfort in the truth
    Pain is all you’ll find”

I guess he was referring to the seat height then.

Oui, finalement.
