    bsa bin there dun that
    one seasone of pre 65 motocross b40 350 single must be the best and frendlyest way to go racinge.
    no suspension
    no brakes no performance
    but i liked it only sold bike to bye a new one shame realy the whole family liked the sound and the smell of the castrol R

    Ooh, Castrol R. Been a while since I sniffed that wonderful smell. Used to wind the window down in the car (much to the family’s annoyance) whenever a 2-stroke overtook, just in case he was ‘running on R’. Do they still run pre ’65 motocross?

    Never tried BSA’s but agree with you I.D. on the smell of Castrol R.

    Did some pre 1970’s bike racing in the States with a good friend who got pretty badly injured. We would have carried on if it wasn’t for that. Kinda miss it now. He would go back on one tomorrow if he could. As you say Cookeye, it’s such a friendly way of racing.
