Hey, we used to take black bin-bags with us to Donnington years ago for the rock concerts… are they still going??? I’m talking about the late 80’s.

I think I’m missing something here (being new to the site an-all). I take it Radar has a problem with Suzuki’s??
Oh.. and the chain isnt the problem before I ride off into the sunset.. its the disk clamp that you can barely see!!!!
I havent had the bike long.. about three weeks, so I havent yet discovered if the paint is going to be a problem.. and I definitely havent found out what she’ll do. That wont happen for a LONG time. I’m taking it VERY carefully.

Just what more parents should do. Give the kids an interest. I have a photo of myself on the back of my dads CD175, I must have been about 11, with a white plastic open faced skid-lid, nylon jacket and school grey shorts. Later he got a CB250 (wet) dream, which I still went pillion on, then he got an XBR500.. bloody uncomfortable thing that was…. so I got my own CB125TB.

I have to agree with you (I think) Speedy… I do beleive that its those of us who remember what “Friends of the road” were like.

    Have you tried Banditmania?
I know they do all sorts of stuff specifically for the Bandit & SV. I’ve been trying to get a brochure from them for the last week, without much joy though.

I so wish I was in a position that I could buy it from you Radar. I’d love to have it as a project.. maybe one day when I’m near retirement (or win the lottery)… only another 26 years to go!! I did enjoy my old 250RS back in 88-90.

Having just returned to bikes, I’ve noticed a difference since “the good old days”, and I’m only talking 15 years… I remember that whenever you passed another biker on the road, you nodded, tilted your head, waved (if you could), or at least acknowledged the other rider.. these days, only about half the riders I’ve passed have done such.

When I got up on Sunday morning.. it was blue sky and bright sunshine.. by the time I got my arse in gear to get out and do something, the sun had gone and it was blowing a gale! Never did see the rain though.. so managed to get blown around a bit all in the name of “fun”.

    Radar.

Curiosity would have me sorely tempted.. but I just cant I’m afraid.
    1 – lack of money
    2 – lack of space
3 – lack of time to enjoy what I already have

    Aint life crap at times!

    Oh Radar.

You dont know what a memory trip seeing that bike has given me!

I see that you have a siamese exhast on it.. I had similar. It worked out about half the price of replacing Honda’s original exhausts (which rotted VERY quickly!!)
I only had the basic RS.. kick start for me.. but then it didnt have that much compression to kick (as long as you had the release cable adjusted correctly!!)
Mine was in black, but with a blue stripe through the centre of the tank.
