Originally posted by RadarFor my part I nod to all bikers. The ones who return the favour the least seems to be BMW and Harley riders around here. Not saying this is the case everywhere.
Generally bikers whatever their bike or background seem to be a friendly lot, as borne out by this forum.
I have owned bikes since I was 16 without a break, I know a few “born agains” and some have fallen into the I had a Z1 so now I will have an R1 trap.
Donate – Or Imperial Data will have you sorted!Oi…….. I had a Z1 but would never, ever, ever, ever, ever, get an R1……. my feet wouldn`t reach the floor lol

speedy claireParticipantWell if I ever see you i`ll make sure to acknowlege you……. we`ll just agree to disagree, my experience is that its the younger ones who don`t always acknowedge you and by younger I can usually tell their age as I`m having a good look at the male bodies attached to the bike lol and that doesn`t mean that just cos i`m in my 40`s my tits are resting somewhere on the petrol tank lol

speedy claireParticipantBut again, how do you know that that`s the group……… as I said if they`re riding towards you and wearing a helmet how can you possibly know that the person riding that bike is in their 40`s??
PS: I`m not normally argumentative

speedy claireParticipantok, well I usually ride a CBR600 but most recently owned a Fazer 600 but will be looking for another sports bike and yes my leathers are colour co-ordinated to match my bike (but I put that down to being a woman lol). I totally agree with you on the accident figures cos tho I started out on a 250 progressing thru various bikes to a Z1 I agree that the differences in performance after several years away was a bit frightening! Your comment tho (and correct me if i`m wrong) was re the lack of courtesy shown by bikers which is the only point i`m arguing……..
and ok, I aplogise if i`m coming across as a bit snotty but i do take your comments personally

speedy claireParticipantOMG…. i`m seriously and deeply offended!! I`m in my early 40`s and I`m certianly not “recapturing my youth” cos I`ve never lost it!! (ask Gixerchick) I always, always acknowledge other bikers and, by the way, it was me who stopped and nearly got beaten up by a biker who I`d estimate was in his late 20`s!! I would totally disagree with you here and say that it`s more likely to be the old 40 somethings who do the all the acknowledging and the stopping. Reason being is that we remember all those years ago when bikers were always courteous, helpful and looked out for their own. I rode bikes in the 80`s and early 90`s and then had a break when my son was born. I came back to them several years ago and couldn`t believe the change in attitudes since i`d been away. Again, I`ve got to say I totally disagree with you and i`m not sure what experiences you base your comment on but would ask that if you`re going to make a totally judgemental remark such as the one you`ve just make then how do you know a bikers age group when they`re usually riding towards you and wearing a helmet??
PS: have edited this post cos did originally apologise and say I hope I haven`t come across as too snotty here but decided against it cos I truly am offended!
