I heard of a Bultaco Sherco but not Sherco as a manufacturer. If you like trials bikes then take a look at this article:

Made me want to buy one!

Maybe because they are “velly weliable, tough as old boots”. Unlike the Italian stuff.

Not sure if that’s true but they certainly looked like someone had knocked them up in a shed. Huge, square monsters if memory serves me well. I’d almost forgotten about them.

Yes, that’s gonna be one hell of an insurance payout. Makes you think doesn’t it?

Just took a look at http://www.cobramotors.com and it seems to be a Yam DT lookalike. Is it similar, Speed? (I’m using your nickname mate, not asking if it goes as fast…..)

@Bellyboy: Yes, I’ve been to Austria about 9 or 10 times now on various holidays. Mostly on the bike too. The country is one of my favourites and you’re right about the people and the food. What always strikes me is how clean the place is. Some of the mountain roads are the best I’ve ever seen for bikes. Where were you holidaying?

Yep, weather is getting a bit chilly and the warmth of a pc being used might even tempt a few away from those handlebars!

I love the Greek islands for bikes. One of my best holidays was in Kefalonia where I hired a chunky trail bike and took the girlfriend around the twisty mountain roads. It’s where they filmed “Captain Corelli’s Yammy Twin” (well I thought it was funny anyway). I did hire a C50 when the money ran out but I scared myself a bit too much, so took it back and ended up with a Suzuki TS125 which was pretty good too. I’d love to do the same again soon, maybe on another quiet Greek island.

@Endo: Thanks. It was in Bouee, a small village near Nantes (Loire Atlantique).
