Sounds like a great trip again, albeit a tiring one. Shame about the puncture and the broken crash guard but they could have been worse I guess. Are you planning the next trip yet?

Now I must point out that the 170mph I said I did above (on a 155mph bike!) was ‘indicated’ not actual and all speedos can overread. When I re-read my post it made me look a bit like I’d had one too many beers down the pub. Please can someone put a higher speed down to take the pressure off me?

Hi Neil. Kind of guessed from your nickname that you might have had one of those, but you can never be too sure! What do you think of the bike? I like the FZR’s a lot, they’re capable bikes and seem to be reliable. How does your bike insurance get affected these days by having a grey import?

I’ve got to say, sacrilege though it may be, I’d love to see that one. I think the term “restore” is used in its loosest sense there.
Would most people be able to tell it’s not a Triumph engine though? Anyway, got to go, I’m putting a Nortonw**kel engine into my FS1E…..
I’m not hot on Harleys but maybe it does work as a total change to the others. Perhaps a Classic Brit bike would work too.
