I went to this a few years ago.
It’s a good day out if the weather holds up.
Anyone up for it?
If the weather perks up I’ll be there – the last 2 years were good. A jet-engined shopping trolley still sticks in my brain…
elessimoParticipantSome gleaming bikes there Steve. What parts does the anti-corrosion treatment get applied to?
Hey Dave, they cover the wheels and spray the under-carriage. Also have a patent cleaning liquid that goes on everywhere – the results are much better than my attempts with normal cleaning products…..
elessimoParticipantOf course, if you want a bespoke bike the Ariel Ace with girder forks looks (and goes!) pretty good.
A snip at £25k…..
elessimoParticipantI think Imperial Data’s experience wit the R30i might be enough to put some folk off…

You can’t judge a model by one nail….
There’s a lime green R30 near us that looks and sounds gorgeous. And I’ve never seen it dead by the side of the road!
elessimoParticipantI work near Hereford now, Bromyard
Ha! No excuse for not joining us at the Worcestershire bike nights then!
See you at Pershore on Thursday 16th? Millers Arms?
elessimoParticipantAnd, yeah, the Spitfire looks pretty cool….
elessimoParticipantI was going to suggest the CCM 450GP but figured that 40bhp might be a little underpowered for you.
Felt enough for me, but we were off-road most of the test-ride. And it was very light and agile, so gets up to speed quickly enough.
I’d still like one.For SM it’s the CCM R30 with the 644 Suzuki engine that looks the DBs….
If you’re interested in a Buell my mate Jed is selling his…. it’s quick!
elessimoParticipantWell, he’s in Hereford – not too far from Kiddy….. find him on the AllYearBiker website.
Gabi said that the Herald is a great little bike for around town, but he wouldn’t take it outside the city limits.
My Tiger will be going for a similar anti-corrosion treatment for its birthday, when the Yam is sold….
elessimoParticipantSteel Horse Cafe, near Abergavenny:
Along great country roads:
And inviting lanes….
elessimoParticipant
Gabi casting a spell on the Yam
Gabi’s MV
Herald 125
and Vespa….
TDM looking clean and mean
With the seat on it looks even better….elessimoParticipantDitto – good to get some sun.
So good I took the TDM to Hereford for a deep clean and anti-corrosion treatment – it now gleams like new! Gabi the AYB guy has an MV 800, a Herald 125 and an old PK scooter (his first ever bike).
The Yam is running really well: almost seems a shame to Ebay it, but it’s got to go….After lunch it was the turn of the Explorers: with Debs as pillion and Jed on his red 2015 Tex in tow, we explored a new route (OK, I got us lost and discovered some tiny gravel-strewn lanes en route to Raglan) to the Steel Horse Cafe near Abergavenny.
Now it has been lowered the big Tiger is even better: surefooted over gravel, still great in the twisties and greedy for ever more throttle. But now I can get both heels down (at the same time!) the substantial weight is really easy to handle: this outing was a grin-fest, start to finish.
The return trip was via Usk: it began to rain so we took the dual carriageway back and outstripped the clouds. Debs reckons we took 15 mins to get back home, but that can’t be rightLooking forward to your 4 hour custom fighter event next weekend, Radar!
elessimoParticipantA very dear and old friend of mine’s mum passed away, any help or publicity yo can give to encourage her uncle to get his bike finished and start his journey would really be appreciated….
Great idea! The paint job looks amazing….
elessimoParticipantStumbled across this old post of mine, still think it makes sense 11 (!!) year on
Truer now than then! Choice even wider; Triumphs even better; international tours even more accessible….
Recent summers have been warmer, too!
elessimoParticipantThat vid looks great! Anyone want to buy the TDM?
Severe case of dirt-bike lust….
elessimoParticipantAll I’ll say is: CCM GP450 (low version).
Lower, lighter and more powerful than the CRF250 & 230…..
