What about getting a Varadero 125 Gix? It would go well with your laced up crutch!
That reminds me theres a woman in work selling black 2 piece leathers size 10. Belstaff jacket, JTS trousers with a zip! about £50 methinks. Look in good nick.

June 18, 2005 at 3:09 pm #28552barmy_carmyParticipantSounds a good price Scouser, pity though too big for me. I fit into clothes age 13yrs Lol! I got a bib and brace leathers, but are wearing thin now, will need to replace them at some point, but my problem is finding something to fit!
I’m not riding fast, I’m just flying low. and please DONATE to this website
June 18, 2005 at 4:07 pm #28553gixerParticipanti’ve ridden the blade twice and the gsxr once and cant decide. the blade felt more comfortable, its got a firm seat which is nicer on the family jewels, or it might be the set up, not sure. the gsxr had a smoother power delivery as it started right from the bottom of the revs and i think it had bit more welly the whole way through, not much in it though. the blade felt bit more nimble i think. in an ideal world i would mix the pair together. anyone know if its possible to buy a firm seat for the gsxr?
June 18, 2005 at 4:13 pm #28554GixParticipantSod the seat mate, after a while you wont feel your arse any way. Gixer the much better bike. Not biased at all of course….[:o)][]

June 18, 2005 at 9:29 pm #28555RadarModeratorBoth great, but out of a Blade and a Gixer I’d buy an R1!!

June 20, 2005 at 11:00 pm #28557gixerParticipanti must admit the respray had me thinking. the bikes done just under 6000miles only 2 years old and had 2 owners. one of them got the spray job which i believe cost £1000+ and then must of sold it soon after, something not right! bloody fast bike though
June 20, 2005 at 11:23 pm #28558hocuss pocussParticipantme thinks u should buy a scooter cos it would go well with your opinian on female bikers, there are loads ov us around . you must go around with your eyes shut, only do that wen u hit speeds ov 120 are more. then u ride with eyes tight shut lol. good luke with the bike u choose. hope u have lots ov fun [!]
June 20, 2005 at 11:28 pm #28559gixerParticipanti must be blind or maybe just in kent there’s not a lot. what bike you got then and how many of your girlfriends have bikes(above 125)[]
June 23, 2005 at 1:09 pm #28560imperialdataKeymasterActually, there are more and more female bikers about and there are increasingly large amount of specialist clothing companies springing up. Under a helmet and leathers you can’t tell how many are on the roads, best way to tell is by going to a bike show or a meeting. I reckon it’s still a low percentage though, possibly around 5% at a guess. Leaving myself and the debate wide open here, I reckon:
Girls are probably less likely to show off to a crowd
Girls are less likely to fall off in front of a crowd
Girl bikers must have a great tolerance level – Chauvinism, sexism and don’t forget anti-bikism (made that one up!)
Finally I reckon that girls are probably more likely to remove their helmet to show they are female to the blokes they just overtook…..

June 23, 2005 at 2:23 pm #28561GixParticipantAbsolutely correct on the last one! Let the guys know they just had their arse kicked by a girlie!!![}][]
And yes, we have a great tolerance level, always get the chauvinist remarks but that is just cos some men (and non biking women) are just single minded, old fashioned and downright ignorant.[]LOVE IS GIVING SOMEONE THE ABILITY TO DESTROY YOU, THEN TRUSTING THEM NOT TO.

June 24, 2005 at 7:32 am #28562ScouserParticipantI totally respect women bikers, in a male dominated pastime any woman who loves riding bikes or even thrashing them , like Gixerchic, has my utmost respect.
It is unusual to get kneedown, hedge-trimming female biker like Gixerchic, but that applies to only to 5% of male riders too, with the majority only using their bikes as a big boys toy, myself included. Oh, and girls look better in tight leathers too!

June 24, 2005 at 9:31 am #28563imperialdataKeymasterYou might want to edit the ‘hedge-trimming female biker’ bit before Digger sees it []

June 24, 2005 at 1:55 pm #28565gixerParticipanti’ll keep my eyes open then, funny thing is you can see peoples faces through visors and i can normally tell the difference between male and female. i must also only ever go to bike shops when no ladys are there then. ten years of all year riding, i’ve been to alot of shops, especially for tyres. i was once told that i was there best customer for tyres. anyway i’ve got absolutely nothing agaisnst women on bikes. how about which bike?(original question)
