Yeah i am Kat. using halfords very high temp metallic black…tis a dark grey, not black. but after u run the engine up to temp i think it sort of melts and cures so i expect it to get darker…grey or black, makes no odds to me. itll still be a nice contrast between the dark block and the polished stainless bolts

May 29, 2010 at 12:31 pm #59525imperialdataKeymasterThought it was quiet…[]
If it’s a toy that turns Radar on then please don’t post any pictures!
Looking forward to an update on the project, methinks there’s some Yam bits arriving.
June 3, 2010 at 12:09 pm #59526BigBenParticipantHahaha. We have a tiddly problem, so radar won’t get excited anymore!
I had bought a 2005 R1 in lava red, unfortunately one day before I was going to go pick it up the owner wrote it off so back to the drawing board we went. Anyways I’ve found another bike and I bought it this morning. Am going to pick it up at 4pm today. Pics to follow. But it’s not an R1 I’m afraid.June 3, 2010 at 3:58 pm #59527imperialdataKeymasterWhat ya got then?
June 3, 2010 at 8:52 pm #59528katanaParticipantBlade?
June 3, 2010 at 10:01 pm #59529TT07ParticipantGSXR1000K5/6?
June 4, 2010 at 10:26 pm #59530BigBenParticipantTT07 is the closest but still wrong :p not far off though.
GSXR1000 K3 on a 53 plate. Moto-graffix number boards, gay rim tape stuck all over my custom painted pearl White rims. Yoshi zorst.
Annoying alarm that arms itself just before u get off the tossing thing. Other than that it’s as standard as the day it was born. Unmolested for now, but probs not for long.June 5, 2010 at 8:58 am #59531TT07ParticipantShe sure does look very clean and tidy, guessing mileage is pretty low. I should move the tax disc to the left hand side though and forward of the riders footpeg, you dont want some funny a*sed co**er finding a reason to have a go.
June 5, 2010 at 8:59 am #59532TT07ParticipantWhat do you think of the performance and handling?
June 5, 2010 at 9:57 am #59533BigBenParticipantYeah good point TT, I didn’t realise it was there, it was taxed ready for me. The milage is 15600 ish although I’ve stuck near enough 200 miles on in two days. I’m going to stick the tax disc to the screen.
Performance is okay I’ve not had it crank over as there’s a brand new hoop on the back so don’t want to bail it. Handling is good though. Doesn’t feel as fast as my ten though. But it’s deffinitely neaterJune 5, 2010 at 10:49 am #59534ChampsParticipantquote:

That reminds me… My tax disc is in my wallet because the holder broke.

hehe have done that too many times, on other peoples bikes though :p
June 5, 2010 at 9:14 pm #59536RadarModeratorShame about the R1, but the Gixxer looks in good nick. I would just enjoy the rest of the summer on it, we seem to be having a good one for once!
June 5, 2010 at 10:22 pm #59537katanaParticipantLooks lovely
