Hi Tony,
Welcome to The Bike Forum, have you read the following post yet?
https://www.bikemeet.net/forums/topic/just-dropped-by/5
which explains how to add images.
OR in other words when your new post message window is open click on the short cut image which is 4th from the right along the Format: line (hover over it it says Insert Image), this adds the required series of characters, you add or copy the address of your picture BETWEEN the middle ][ characters. Hope this helps!
Once again welcome.
We do have some members towards your side of Brum.

Correct?I’ve no experience of this, but web searches (which I’m sure you’ve already done)say that your right.
TT07ParticipantThe first dry roads of the year, so 2 hours out on the 600. Then threw my leg over the 1000, Christ is it quick.
TT07ParticipantYes agree with Champs tasty bit of working going on here.
TT07Participant[]Another venue to meet in ‘Central England’ could be the Heritage Motor Centre near Warwick……[]

Combining it with a local loop ride out.

Still a good idea for a meet. Got any dates for 2010 event TT?
As you have found the date out and added it to this post, here is a reminder of what the event is like :

TT07ParticipantMaybe the Thundersprint at Northwich would be a good idea for linking the members from north and south, or even a meet up at the National Motorcycle Museum as it is less than 4 miles from the centre of the country.
TT07ParticipantAs you’ve shown me yours, I’ll show you mine (so to speak), have had a rethink on 2 stokes owned…. for me they spanned 8 years from 1969 to 1977. Before I legally on the road there was a Suzuki 80 and a Sprite Grasshopper(125 Sachs), now then, as its no longer non-cool to discuss scooters, 1st bike legally ridden at 7:30 A.M. on the morning of my 16th birthday was a 175cc Triumph Tigress, which, 10 mins later seized the piston whilst overtaking at 70mph, obviously it hadn’t got that hot before as it had been previously owned by an old fella, well, left for 10 mins to cool off it fired 1st kick and never seized again. Next there was a Lambretta Li 150 that soon had me dragging out a 200 SX engine my Dad had under his bench, I swopped it without telling him, I think it was the 1st time he didn’t shout at me for nicking something of his as he was suprised I’d got it fitted and running without his help. Next was a 1971 Suzuki T250 Hustler/Super Six, then a 1972 Suzuki T500 Titan and the last 2 Stroke I had was a new 1976 RD250 Yamaha. Apart from owning them the only other 2 strokes I’ve ridden was my Dads RD400 Yamaha(which was a cracking bike) also his 750 Suzuki Kettle which handled like a pig, and I had a dabble at Sidecar Trials on a 350 Bultaco. Thats all folks.
TT07Participant‘The Park’ the I go to is at Aberdare in the Welsh Valleys!
TT07ParticipantGreat stuff that Radar, its been many many years since I owned one – thinking back I’ve had 4, and that was between 1971 and 1977. That onbike video sure shows how draughting gives a sling-shot.
TT07ParticipantAs far as I go on this line YES I remove mine when I realise it will become a problem and dont remove it when going into garages where there is not a problem. The removal can become tedious at times if your going equipped with under helmet plus sat-nav earpiece and seperate bike to bike comms as both leads have to disconnected/re-connected, plus the sat-nav looses its link with the blue tooth dongle so requires reconnecting on the screen, all this to show your face when you’ve done nothing wrong! I have been told that if its too much of a problem removing my helmet then use the pay at pump facilities as your card details are checked prior to receiving the juice.
TT07ParticipantYes I had the usual “Next time you come in please remove your (fullface) helmet” at a service station (aka Government Revenue collection point), I asked why and he said cos its company policy and if you dont you will be refused to be served, to which I replyed you wouldnt ask if I was wearing a burka, he chose to ignore what I said. That servicice station, Somerfield in Leominster, will now not dispense without helmet removal at the pump. I enquired at our local Texaco in Bewdley (the sole garage in town), asking the only member of staff who insists, what if I’m only paying by cash? He said the same rule applies. Last year I took the trouble to e-mail all of the fuel supplying companies (from memory- I deleted them last week – there is only about enquiring of their policy about crash helmet removal, there was no standard reply some went into detail and some didn’t, basically they all said all types of headgear that cover the face in any way must be removed on security grounds that includes baseball caps. As we know as far as garages go its just down to the individual employee on the till at the time. Yes I like you feel aggreaved at times
TT07ParticipantSlim I agree with what you and the other contributors say whole heartedly. I find that this country is unfortunately being driven by people who seem intentent on appeasing minorities at the expense of the majority, when the political system is fundamentaly based on placement of those officials in Parliament by a majority rule, so why the HELL arent they taking notice of what the majority feel. At work, in pubs, in cafes, in fact EVERYWHERE I go I find NO ONE dissenting away from the very subjects and the way I feel on the very subjects mentioned in this post. In addition the whole Country is also being dictated to by a pathetic Health and Safety(running scared of compensation) culture. The way this country is declining into such an appathetic state, I’m sure that the time will come, and maybe not very far off, when some sort of uprising will occure, it may only take one strong willed person with leadership qualities to stand up against the nanny state and through the power of the media quickly get support FROM THE MAJORITY and bring about a backlash to our current state of political system.
Appeasing the minorities stinks, Health and Safety issues have already got out of hand, immigration is a joke, yobs are ruling some of our streets, the level of taxation on fuel is unaccepteble, the whole benefits system is lax for the un-needy but far too stringent for the honest folk, motorists are seen as cash cows for even minor disdemeaners and are being targeted by the Police when so many truley awful crimes go unpunished or with puney sentencing. This list could go on….. and on…… We really are being taken for mugs, so bring on the revolution I say.
TT07ParticipantMaybe the Met Office get it wrong more often simply because the bigger their computer gets the more power is consumed then the bigger impact is made on the climate! Honestly though their predictions really are pointlessly incorrect most of the time.
TT07ParticipantTis very funny that, as the sayiing goes – one mans meat is another mans poison.
