I much as I hate cameras, I hate the Tories more!
RadarModeratorIf it wasn’t so true it would be funny!
RadarModeratorVery interesting story, lets hope this common sense attitude prevails. Bikers and motorists need to keep the pressure on.
RadarModeratorIs the bike standard? What mileage? How quickly did the problem come back, straight away?
Have you have checked all the connections all the way through?Welcome to the forum.
RadarModeratorNever owned any, but the XJR1300 just looks fabulous. BIKE magazine are running one as a long term test bike and it gets middling reviews, but apparently they been flooded with lettres and e-mails supporting the big Yam.
The new 1200 Bandit just isn’t as good looking as the early ones for me, probably a better bike though. Only bloke I talked to with one loves it.
I have only had one Kawasaki (a KH) so I can’t say much about the ZX. Looks great and the most modern of your three under the 1970.s/80’s clothes.Welcome to the forum, why 883? Harley link?
RadarModeratorAnother thought: Calibration, do they certify that the equip itself is calibrated and correctly tuned for a given location (and weather conditions etc) against a target going at a known speed?
Thanks for the tips anyway XVRadarModeratorBit of a problem here as my wife can’t drive and nobody else is insured to drive my elderly Passat.
One glimmer of hope is that a silver X or Y plate Primera estate was in front of me and a couple of other cars were in the inside lane.RadarModeratorI think that I may have been caught by a mobile camera yesterday on the A11 headed towards Norwich. The van I am pretty sure had orange lights and marking similar to construction vehicles, hence I did not spot it until too late. I was speeding, so up to a point it was my own fault. However it was on the approach to a large island near Milldenhall (spelling),and I have seen acidents here. However they were all on the island either as people entered or left it! Nothing to do with speed and everything to do with with driver awareness and road layout. However the stats will show a speed camera at an accident blackspot, indicating just how easy the numbers can be twisted.
Incidentally, it was (I think), a Mercedez Vito van and the camera pointed out of the back window.
Watch for it on the A11.RadarModeratorHuge amounts of fun!!
RadarModeratorWelcome to the Forum Arn, I ride a Thundercat myself which is a slightly more chilled R6 I suppose.
Love the 2003 model, should drive those accountancy blues into the dust!RadarModeratorBit of both – here in the UK many race reps get “Street Fightered” after a minor accident has ruined the fairing but left the main bike untouched. The fairing panels are so expensive and many people ride on 3rd party insurance that getting the bike running without them is a real option.
A whole class of bikes has built up and many of them are impressive bikes in their own right.
Take a look at Katana’s (he posts on the site regularly) bike. It looks great, and much meaner than a stahdard bike.
Triumph market the Speed Triple as a factory streetfighter and the Honda Hornet, Yamaha Fazer FZ6 and new Kawasaki Z750/1000 all have strong overtopnes of this kind of bike.RadarModeratorI don’t think so ID!
RadarModeratorPut me for one too! Saw this on Top Gear last year and they look awesome!
RadarModeratorBurnaston is a bit less glam than Lotus and knock out Corrolla’s and Avensis. Heady stuff!
RadarModeratorI wouldn’t trust this scheme until I had studied the numbers in detail. Tax dodging point is a good one.
