oh dear, what a silly boy…. Am not gonna get all holier than thou here as I have been caught several times going silly speeds, but that was a bit bloomin fast for the road he was on even when hooning!
He was being ambitious and like you say very few of can say we have not been a bit naughty on the road a few times…
RadarModeratorSilver…. Allegedly, the bike I passed my test on was my silver CB100N…. there was no way it could have broken down on its way to the test and have been swapped for my instructors blue CB100N and the tank, numberplate and tax disk all swapped over, no way that could have happened, no way at all, no sir, not here, never!
Never, as if you would even think of such a thing…
RadarModeratorThe CB100N was an awesome little bike, loved mine!
What colour was yours?
RadarModeratorFunny stuff Radar Great starter bike the 100N, what’s the modern equivalent?
I suppose the closest would be the CBF125, a little air cooled single that clearly shares some DNA with my CB100N. It lives in the shadow of more sporty learner options too, like the YZF-R125 (itself a later RD125LC I suppose)
RadarModeratorTest rode a 1999 Kawasaki ZR7 that is for sale locally to me. Great bike to ride, very smooth and goes well. I am having a ponder for a couple of days, I think it is more than I want to pay for a ‘hack’ bike. Hmmmm…
RadarModeratorJust fixed the picture links on this old post (thanks Photobucket – Not!) God those air cooled bikes are rather stunning

They look pretty good, cheers for the link
This what I am looking right now, might even go and take a gander on Saturday
I have now found one local to me, and hope to go and look at that one

No problem, writing it up last week brought back some happy memories
RadarModeratorThat Brit bike is a bit of a curved ball for you mate, where did that come from?
Happy 2018 everyone.
I just find the classic style more appealing than I once did, and I just facy owning something like a BSA Spitfire
BSA SpitfireI wonder of anybody owns the set…Aircraft, sports car and bike?
RadarModeratornice set of resolutions there dude
Cheers HD, I really want to do all of them if possible, the proper Brit bike is probably the biggest long shot on the list

Have you got your tickets to the next Mach Festival?
Debs might drive the camper van while I ride the Tiger, so we won’t need to glamp this time….
Not yet, I just need to check some dates and I should be up for it. Just debating whether to Glamp or camp! Will there be a Mach 3.5? I really want to go to that too if at all possible

RadarModeratorDoes anyone know of any other low-ish trail bikes for Radar and the rest of us short-arses?
Or will we have to learn to ride like the trail goddess Marianne? (Bet her legs are shorter than yours, Radar)
Only snails have shorter legs than me
RadarModeratorWhat about a Honda CRF 230 f, they are good enough to green Lane with and also are a little lower iirc than a lot of the other dirt bikes.
Agreed! You need a little trail bike for more fun
In fact, we all need one! More bhp & electronics is not the way to go on our crowded roads….I did really enjoy the CRF but they are so hard to find
RadarModeratorApparently there is a fix:
