[^]rabman6Participanthi there .Dont worrie it is just a rumour.I am an approved driving instructor(car) and a member of DISC, driving instructors scottish council. And i know the DSA, yes they are money grabbing b….rds but i can assure you this not goin to happen. But what i did here is that the DSA are proposing making the practical test longer ie 1hr.But this to wont happen.WE and our friends down south have a bit of clout when it comes to the DSA (drving, standards, agency)it is as was said down to making more money from all types of motor vehicles.advice to all members is join an organisation if poss as there is always strenght in numbers…
rabman6ParticipantHi ther. good selection there. My first experience of bikes was my fathers moped?can’t mind the make but can remember pedalling like heck to get it goin. But once it was off it was rather nippy for a kid of12yrs.Only rcently have i had the funds to have a bike of my own and love it ‘still a rookie though.you can see my bike on members bikes thanks to katana….SAFE RIDING ALL.[]

rabman6ParticipantI find this disgusting and if i had my way he would be sentenced to life.I am myself an advanced driving instructor (car). And experience this sort of attitude from not just white vanman…But from many so called qualified drivers..Tailgaiting etc. is just the start but these drivers think if they see an L plate or a motorbike it is a sign for them to pull out and get in front…It is time the DSA done more to protect m/cycles aswell as learners. But as my expo is the dsa Ie gov are more interested in making money not safety…Bobby mackie,East kilbride and distric driving instructors assocation…
rabman6ParticipantHi merlin and welcome to the forum..I myself are new to the forum and you should find any info you need here..My advice is check out ebay and u could get a bargain’but try and view before you bid and take someone who knows a bit about bikes. If you cant then when you test the bike yourself let the bike run for a while and with the electrics on to make sure it is not overheating and charging ok.Also make sure it is already uk registered as you could end up with a lot of probs.
rabman6ParticipantHi i had a problem with my r&r for a 125 chunlan starway.couldnt find one so i removed it and took it to a breakers and bingo as long as it has the same connections and is from the same size engine it should be ok..I had no probs since.
