Hope to use these guys, yep,
GSXR1000ParticipantThere is another bike-engined car, an MK, near me, it has a tuned 2004 R1 engine and has 176 bhp at 12700 rpm. The only downside is naff-all torque, something like 90 lbs/ft somewhere not far from maximum revs!
GSXR1000ParticipantWhen it’s built.
£1000 damage doposit!
GSXR1000ParticipantGSXR1000 2005 or Ducati 999R 2003. Both sublime handlers, both very quick.
Two bikes I loved.
GSXR1000ParticipantCount me in.

I could murder a curryVery similar to my ‘busa. They are really really fast bikes.
GSXR1000ParticipantI had just about the first RD500 to come into the country, from Coburn and Hughes in London.
A500VUC.
Lovely bike, tuned by Stan Stephens to 110 bhp at rear wheel.
GSXR1000ParticipantWhen did anyone last see a Honda VF1000R? The model with the gear-driven cams and race-style rear lights?
I had one in 1984.GSXR1000ParticipantDon’t know about the 217 mph being accurate, probably not, but the gearing and revs calculation made by TTS indicated that it might have been a true 205-208 mph.
It felt ‘OMFG HELP ME’ fast, at that speed, I can assure you.
GSXR1000ParticipantIn order of motorcycling decades (I am an old git).
1970s=Suzuki GS1000 (Yoshimura tuned)=Indicated 153mph.
1980s=Moto Martin CBX (Tuned) =Indicated 171mph.
1990s=Yamaha R1 (Mostly standard) =Indicated 190mph.
2000s=Suzuki Hyabusa (Turbo-charged) =Indicated 217mph.GSXR1000ParticipantSidestand only, not too bad.
Once moving, the bike is a bit better than you might think, but at a standstill or low speeds and also round bends, it is hopelessly heavy.
GSXR1000ParticipantThe second house?
[?]
GSXR1000ParticipantA fella I was working with at the SEMA trade show in Las Vegas had his one with him there and I borrowed it for a day. He borrowed my Dodge Viper I had hired for the week.
The bike is utterly insane.
The car mild by comparison, as ell as less powerful !!!!!!! [:0]GSXR1000ParticipantThe Boss Hoss is mental, especially the big block 502.
The torque reaction can eject you from the seat on it’s own.
They do 15mpg, less if you go for it big time.
They have appalling ground clearance and the handling is terrifying on a good day.
They weigh so much that at a stand the slightest slip and you are waiting for TWO people to help you pick the thing up.
The noise is utterly addictive but evryone hears you coming.Ideal for a handful of cruises a month I say!
GSXR1000ParticipantTime was when 1340cc was enormous for a motorcycle.
Now the thick end of two and a half litres, with 750cc in each cylider seems normal!
Only the Boss Hoss is more and boy, is it more.
