Excellent!
Got a couple of KTMs lined up for test rides on Friday if it’s dry….
Hope the weather improves for you, which models. Mt mate Stu who currently rides a Triumph XC800 rode one recently and found himself a little unmoved to his surprise. He is trading the XC in for GS1200 btw
Postponed until Saturday…. Got the 1050 and 1190 Adventures lined up. Sorted a good route through the backroads of Gretton – where I had my eureka ride on the 800 XRx. Still need to visit Cardiff to try out a Ducati or two before finalising anything though.

elessimoParticipantYou can get them for scooters:

https://www.mytyres.co.uk/Motorbike_Tyres_Winter_Tyres.htmlThanks for the link – better get a scooter though: none for the Yam…

Now all I need is some winter tyres….Isn’t that called a car?
Well, my car has winter tyres (without which I can’t get to work in winter) – why can’t they make motorbike winter tyres? It’s just a different rubber compound…
And I’m not referring to those ice tyres used in Russian speedway…..If they do make them, let me know….
elessimoParticipantLooks like good value for money and a job well done.
I thought so – certainly looks a lot better now….

Naughty boy!
Swap rides with my TDM some time?October 18, 2015 at 11:49 pm in reply to: Severn Bridge charity ride out: Hoggin the Bridge photos #68828elessimoParticipantI already have, the results are amazing. Might well treat the Thundercat
Mick’s much closer to you than me – lives near Hallow…
elessimoParticipantRadar, come to a Bikernite and you can have a go!!
Or just meet up for a rideout and we’ll do a swap.Compared to my recent test rides I do find the TDM a tad slow-steering, but then the MV Turismo, 1200GS, Trumpets XRx & Explorer are in a new (albeit expensive) league.
And Debs still loves the TDM, finding it really comfy.
See what she says after 16 days touring on it next year….elessimoParticipantLooks the business, I might well treat the Thundercat to a session, your TDM looks virtually new!
Looks better than when i bought it 21 months & 8000 miles ago! Runs better after my ECU mod removed most of the snatchiness, too….
October 18, 2015 at 11:19 pm in reply to: Severn Bridge charity ride out: Hoggin the Bridge photos #68826elessimoParticipantLooks like a great turnout and the pictures are excellent. The TDM is looking well
Really good turnout: the TDM was sorted by Allyearbiker.co.uk – see ‘Anticorrosion treatment’ in the Interesting Links section…
elessimoParticipantBe keen to try this route with you, sounds great
Any time, Radar! I’ve got the warm gear now, so intend to carry on riding until it gets icy…. Going to treat the Yam to a thorough clean and a coating of ACF50 to protect against the salt, though: it might have to last me a little longer than I’d hoped.
elessimoParticipantI told you that the MV would tickle your fancy!
My fancy was tickled and my interest piqued. God knows what it’ll do to my wallet…. :
elessimoParticipantNice write up and pictures.
Sorry mate I’m away end of Sept, so can’t make any of those meets.
Hope you’re going somewhere good, Kat: otherwise you’ll be missing out on some lovely sunny biking evenings…. or not, as the case may be…..
August 17, 2015 at 6:53 pm in reply to: MV Agusta 1090 Brutale (2012) – The Silk Sledgehammer #68749elessimoParticipantSo when are you getting one?
elessimoParticipantLooks like it was packed! I seemed to be cursed in terms of making these meets, none of them are that far from me either! Frustrated on a personal level, but you seem to having a great summer of it.
That little Cotton is lovely
It was packed – several hundred took part….
Are you up for the next one on Wednesday? – the Fleece at Bretforton (my old stomping ground when I had hair…). Assuming it’s not lashing down…. - AuthorPosts
