Well done fella [][][]
DeekNinjaParticipantOn the other hand – they’re not all bad.
I was coming home once on my ZX6R, and I’d been caught out in a heavy storm. I was wet through and just wanted to get home. Traffic was heavy so I was filtering. Unforuntately I was filtering on double-whites – occasionally crossing them where required – straight past a marked up police car (I know – how did I NOT see him!).
They pulled me (suprise, suprise) and started to write out my fixed pentalty. Now at this point I was on 9 points – so another 3 was a ban. I wasn’t happy. They saw I wasn’t happy and asked how many points I had. When I told them – the copper writing the ticket said the wonderful words: ‘I must be going soft!’ – and tore up the ticket!!!
They then proceded to give me a BIG lecture on why I shouldn’t cross white lines – which I was more than happy to listen to and ‘yes sir, no sir’ to as I knew I was getting away with it!!
Nice coppers!
DeekNinjaParticipantI was pulled a couple of weeks after getting my ZX7R – luckily – because it was still all standard then – no nice pipe or anything! I was on my way to Sherburn Milkbar – and I’d been flashed plenty before I saw them – so I was bang on the speed limit – no problems there.
When I pulled over I asked them why they’d stopped me – they said they were checking for stolen bikes – they had a scanner for them DataTag thingies.
They asked me ‘Have you nicked this? Or fitted any nicked bits?’. I obviously said no and they said far enough and didn’t scan any part of my bike!! BUT while one was talking to me, the other was checking every aspect of my bike – it was simply a spot-check to hastle bikers going to Sherburn.
DeekNinjaParticipantNever mind Levi – you will do it next time – have you booked your retest yet?
DeekNinjaParticipantHope it’s gone well for you fella
DeekNinjaParticipantThats a very tidy rear end you have there Gix!
DeekNinjaParticipantIt was really good actually – very comfortable and handled the luggage very well indeed. The only problem I had was the small tank range – it went onto reserve after 100 miles tops.
DeekNinjaParticipantdiamond
DeekNinjaParticipantWow – sounds lots of fun – I’m very jealous!

i even have them in the same colour lolQuite right – Oxford Sports throw-over paniers. Superb they are too – lots of space, storm covers which work for really wet conditions, and very well put together. I’d highly recommend them!

Just for you Levi – here’s a close up of two em of together (the other one is my brothers):
DeekNinjaParticipantWell done Levi – just remember what the money’s for – no spending it on wild nights and loose women []
DeekNinjaParticipantHello Fast Enough – but, from what I’ve heard recently, maybe not fast enough to avoid the boys in blue!
