My plans for 2016.
May 19th … 5 day tour of Scotland with 7 friends. Up to Applecross and back.
June 18th/19th Oliver’s Mount to watch friend racing.
July 25th Euro tour to Spain and Portugal for 12 days. Doing a short one this year as the 2015 tour to the Balkans was a long trip….fantastic…… but a few long days in the saddle!
I will also do a few BSB rounds no doubt, and obviously a few Peak District runs..as I live here!
daviedevsParticipantYup. Leaving at 10 this morning
daviedevsParticipantOk PC5 is on and working. Bike now has 100.32 BHP at the back wheel..as opposed to the 90 ish prior.
Need to go out on a decent run once the weather picks up. Rode it 30 miles home and there is a big difference..alot smoother and quicker.
daviedevsParticipantDefinitely sounds better!!!
daviedevsParticipantAm also fitting a Remus end can this weekend..should sound better if nothing else.
daviedevsParticipantAdvice that ECU flashes can have issues and also may need reset when its time to sell the bike..plus its a van hire away and the PC guy is local.
daviedevsParticipantChange of plan. Going for the Power Commander instead.
daviedevsParticipantThanks..long days in the saddle but im sure it will be worth it.
daviedevsParticipantThis road is part of our tour this year!!
Will report back in September.
daviedevsParticipantI’ve done loads of track days. . . And believe me it can get very addictive! I ended up with track bike, van, tyre warmers, wets on wheels etc etc. All very costly. And used most of my leave going to them..not good for the missus!
They were all good fun though but very tiring by the end of the day.
I sold all my gear a couple of years ago so I could concentrate on my horse stuff.
I did the Ron Haslam school last August for a birthday treat on the cbr 600rr provided by them. I thoroughly enjoyed the day. My instructor was James Westmorland of BSB fame!
The only down side for me was the fact the 1000’s are on the track at the same time and you are told to let them past all the time. Not an issue as such but when you get into a nice flowing rhythm it is annoying when you have to sit up and wait.
Apart from that it’s a great,if expensive,day out.
daviedevsParticipantA few years ago the chief of humberside/lincolnshire police appeared on the local tv news to talk about speeding.
He explained that they were there to promote safety and education and that they never “hid behind hedges” to catch people out.
Two days later a group of us headed over to Willingham Woods for the usual Wedsnesday night meet and on the way through Market Rasen we were flashed by car drivers. Literally 10 yards into the 30 zone there were 2 bikes and a bmw car sat behind a hedge while their colleague sat opposite in someones garden with a speed gun!!!
We all hate idiots who speed in built up areas..but whats the police were doing that day was just sneaky IMO.
daviedevsParticipantIt rained. Alot!!!!
Few pics before camera expired!
daviedevsParticipantLast call..anyone going?
I’ll be leaving North Staffs at 8 ish hoping to arrive there at 10 ish. Feel free to tag along.
daviedevsParticipantIts nearly here! and the weather report is good too!
Hate packing a damp tent!!!
daviedevsParticipantHad my Super Tenere fitted with a datatool 4 upgrade to make it Cat1.
Argued like hell with Bennets when they refused to reduce my insurance!!
