That’s a bad mistake. I was headed for a job site in the middle of nowhere last week, my satnav was trying to send me through a ford but I thought against it when the water was just brushing the 2’6″ mark.

Not sure where the air intake is on a vw caddy but I didn’t fancy my chances

Hiring a van isnt really an option, lets just say I did the math and its not pretty. £900 + to get 3 people and 6 bikes over.

Another option is riding (revised version)

Kidderminster to Portsmouth = 160 miles x 40 mpg @ £1.35 litre = £24.55 (£49.10 return)

Portsmouth to St Malo on the ferry = £948 / 6 = £158 each return (first quote)

St Malo to Tarbes = 494 miles x 40 mpg @ 1.35 litre = £75.79 (£151.58 return)

Totals £358.68 + random hotel in France somewhere and maybe portsmouth

This little trip is getting expensive!!
