Not a new bike added this time, I’ve just bought a new toy, a Smart ForTwo Pulse. I really like these cars and they share quite a lot with bikes.
Once you own one of these you see how many modifications and tweaks there are out there. Lots of videos where people have dropped in bike engines (can’t wait until my engine goes bang!). There’s a bit of a stigma around driving one of these but I think I’m well over that now. This made my decision for me:
- Decent build quality
- Replaceable panels to change the colour
- £35 road tax!
- 65 mpg!!
- 700cc nippy engine
- Decent handling
- Fair size boot
- Semi-automatic (for the moment….)
There’s a few mods I’d like to do if I get the time but for now I’m just enjoying it immensely.

i forgot to mention i saw one in Nuts or Zoo mag or whatever with monster truck wheels on…that was cool as
Yep, something like that unless they have changed the design.
Reg number is BU53 which almost spells BUSA if you squint a bit on a dark day. It’s trying to tell me something.
It does have some potential…
