June 26, 2009 at 9:30 pm #55864RadarModeratorI am going to write a snotty email to Yamaha! I know they are up in Hallow now. Looking forward to trying these Maxxis tyres out. Can’t help thinking of these though…
June 26, 2009 at 9:33 pm #55865ses310ModeratorHaha, the are definatly nothing like the vans…. Think you’ll be impressed with them, know I have been

August 8, 2009 at 10:37 pm #55867HippoDronesParticipanthope you have had a chance for a proper play on the new rubber mate?
August 9, 2009 at 4:37 pm #55868katanaParticipantThinking about getting set for the Blade. I’ve found them online for £99 a pair here:
August 10, 2009 at 12:07 pm #55869imperialdataKeymasterSeems a good price. So they have Kevlar inside, not steel then?
August 10, 2009 at 12:44 pm #55870HippoDronesParticipantthey are the old tyre… Don’t get them they are rubbish!
You want the latest version mate
August 10, 2009 at 8:38 pm #55871katanaParticipantThanks Pete – thought they were cheap
August 16, 2009 at 6:21 pm #55872RadarModeratorI thought I had been done! That explains it. Only a couple of hundred miles so far, but they feel great up to now!
August 16, 2009 at 9:27 pm #55873HippoDronesParticipantthats good to hear, mine are on 2000+ miles with no squaring of the rear and loads of grip left!
August 18, 2009 at 1:27 am #55874HippoDronesParticipantfound a cheap place for them online. Pretty sure these are the right tyres and they cheap too:

make sure you go for these rather than the touring version if you wanting the tyre I have fitted
do check with them that they are the latest version when you orderSeptember 12, 2009 at 12:41 pm #55875TT07ParticipantListening to several recommendations I had a pair of the latter kevlar belted ones fitted yesterday at Bikers World Drakes Broughton twixt Worcester and Pershore. Price £155 for the pair including fitting on either loose wheels or if dropping in with a bike. The last Bridgestone BT015 190/50 17 rear I had fitted cost me the same figure of £155, so if the performance and life expectance is to be believed I’ve got the front, which is now on the GSX-R600, for nowt.
September 12, 2009 at 6:14 pm #55876RadarModeratorCracking price TT. A lad at work is just about to get a pair fitted to his 1200 Bandit. Seems the word is spreading fast. Several members of the Thundercat forum have gone for them too
September 2, 2011 at 10:35 pm #55877RadarModeratorWell after about 3000 miles the rear is shot, but I was daft to run it under pressure for a while which has shortened its’ life somewhat. Front still going strong
