My 9 year daughter wants to go on the back on my bike, what is the law about taking kids on the back of your bike?

Don`t think there is one……. i asked the police once and they said that as long as the childs feet reached the pegs and looked comfortable they wouldn`t take any action. Adding that if the child`s feet didn`t reach the pegs they`d stop the bike and give a caution.

Don`t ride faster than your guardian angel can fly!….

Deep down inside me there`s a skinny girl trying to come out, but normally I can shut that b*tch up with some chocolate!…..

Like S.C said ,I think that pillion rider must be able to easily reach the footpegs and grab handles.Least thats what I was told when I did my training…………………but I have slept since then![;)]

There is no age limit, when my daugter was 18 months old she wanted to go on the back of me bike but sensibly I said No as I did`nt have a helmet to fit her.(Only joking)no but as long as the child can reach the footrests and grab handle, is sensible enough and to have a helmet that fits correcly.

    Take it easy out there

Being a regular at the Milkbar in sherburn, I see loads of kiddly winks on the back of bikes, again they touch pegs, but some are really young, I think 9 is fine, my ex used to take his daughter out from 7 yrs old and she has always loved it! Go on have fun. Plus you can get some love handles which are always good, speshly if it makes you feel a bit more at ease!

WIT WOO Lets have fun! Experience is the best knowledge x
