anyways take it easy guysSeptember 23, 2008 at 7:04 pm #56150katanaParticipantBen, the bike looks the nuts.
What colour is the tank? – It’s given me an idea for my next fighter project.
September 23, 2008 at 7:18 pm #56151BigBenParticipantcheers katana,appreciated
as far as i know its called pearl blazing orange
it looks fantastic in the sun.
its similar to the 2006 zx6r colour but i think mines a bit lighter
i have samples of it from the old crash damaged fairings if u want a small piece of it??October 3, 2008 at 12:02 pm #56152BigBenParticipantthere it is in all of its glory
October 3, 2008 at 12:34 pm #56153imperialdataKeymasterHoly crap, that’s a damn shame Ben. Looks like the fairing has completely split down the front but that’s a separately joined piece on the ZX10 isn’t it?
October 4, 2008 at 9:46 pm #56154BigBenParticipantyeah its made up of 3 pieces. its like a bloody jigsaw puzzle. but bikes back on the road now, bought a screen brace off a guy on ebay cos mine had split and picked it up today. the 3 parts of the screen fairings are on, and a screen then a seat, the rest is off, looks a bit pants but its on the road again so ill restore the fairings for next year.go me…haha
October 17, 2008 at 3:59 pm #56155BigBenParticipantjust letting you all know how the kwak rebuild no. 2 is going…..its not!
i got my headlight repaired by my mate an his mate..at that point the bike was back on the road but the air intake was seeming to be loose and as a result of that the whole front end was a little bit wobbly.
i took it all apart today to see why as i thought the carbon intake was bust but it wasnt…the shock of the crash must have desimated the loctite so its all ‘tited back up and on. anyways the headlight is broken again..so new headlight is needed me thinks…we wer all meant to be going for a ride out to the local bike meet this sunday aswell so allow me to present to you a rather stupid idea….im going to ride it without a headlight and front indicators. i figured i have arms so im sure i can indicate with them.
give us a couple of replies and tell me what a moron i am if you wish, might be good for a laugh:))October 17, 2008 at 5:16 pm #56156RadarModeratorI wouldn’t do that if I were you, but I am not actually sure if it is illegal or not
October 18, 2008 at 10:54 am #56157imperialdataKeymasterI remember it was OK years ago to ride with no lights and indicators like this in the daytime. No idea about the legality now though. I think if you have indicators they had to work, so you may need to whip the back ones off.
Don’t quote me on it though!
