146 on a big private road on my SuzukiGSX1100F. Road was just a grey carpet blurred, but could still make out the shagpile! My head was buffeted like mad, but then I raised the powerscreen at 140 and the bike took off, so I flew to Denmark for the day? (no I don’t do drugs!LOL)

ScouserParticipantThanks for the photos Gixer. What are you going to charge the camera with, gross indecency?
Like the pictures of the bikes and ice-cream barge for Radar. I noticed that some other Matlock photos of you lot had a big ice-cream cone in the picture; is there an ice-scream theme here? Maybe we should send photos in of any ice cream establishment on our journey’s?
Ice scream, you scream we all scream for ice-cream!Be seen and be Safe!
ScouserParticipantNo that isn’t the starship Enterprise in amongst them all, its one of those BMW ‘why not get a car’ bikes?

ScouserParticipantSorry we missed them. Had a walk around and watched the monkey bike easter egg run finish at the car park near the mine museum; some were dressed as monkeys and had bananas on thier bikes. Mad or what! I’ll try and post a photo.

ScouserParticipantID, Mileage is 12500, put another 110 on today to Matlock and back with Digger.
The bike is very torquey Stan DB but when you say take the bike off-road you mean just dirt / gravel tracks? It could handle them no problem but other than that it is too heavy for serious off roading. I’m only 5’10” and I’m on my tiptoes, but you can soften the suspension to give a bigger footprint contact. You would also have to fit the ‘knobbly’ off road tyres, but its a brilliant workhorse and suprises many riders withs its punchy take-up on acceleration. Since the photo I’ve fitted Givi crash bars, which are massive, Radar calls them Bull bars, the bike also has a headlamp protector and a rear hugger fitted as after market items.
Tank range is 200miles, clock and two trip counters are standard. The 2004 model now has 6 gears and has a digital dash, competitors are the BMW 1150G, Aprillia Capanord and Suzuki V-StromBe seen and be Safe!
