If I had one I think I’d ride it in the rain too! Drop us a line when (if) you give it back.

Hi banditone. If you can be a bit more specific about when this error occurs then I can help.

You obviously can post messages as you have one above which came out fine. If you get this error message at the login stage then your user name or password are incorrectly spelled, but again you must have been logged in to post your message.

If you are trying to send an email to a member who has not ticked the “Allow forum members to send you email” box when registering, then you will get an error. We respect each person’s privacy and try to protect members from unsolicited emails (spam) where possible. We ask that you contact them first through a message on this site if required. You can then obviously exchange email addresses, or that person may enable the sending of emails through the site for any length of time.

    Hope this helps.

Think it’s aged a lot with the fairing on, but unfaired the Katana still looks great. Any probs with the exhaust grounding out? Looks very low at the bottom.

Right click the image and you’ll see it’s 96 x 88 pixels. They call this a thumbnail image (small size) and because it is saved in jpg format it will just be “blocky” if you resize it. Jpg format loses information to make the file size small. Hope this helps. Nice picture though!

Yup, acm is right on the ball there. Had a couple of Clymer books over the years. Slightly different approach to Haynes but a bit less technical if I remember right.

The links above are for Honda manuals from Clymer, but they only seem to do 1972 to 1978 on the CB350. Best option seems to be to bribe a Honda garage mechanic for a few photocopies of his Honda book now and again. You could try dropping a post in the buy and sell category of this forum too, someone may have more info. Good luck!

Can’t believe you stopped up until nearly 1AM just to say that mate![;)] Good landmark of 1000 posts to reach after just a few months though.

For the work yourself and Cookeye have done on promoting and generally looking after the forum, I am proud to present you with a new title and an extra star. (All clap)

Does anyone else remember Muttley’s catch phrase “Gimme a medal, gimme a medal”?

Seriously guys, well done for the hard work, drinks are on me.

Thanks for that Miguel, your site looks great and shows what brilliant fun moped racing is. Any interested parties are welcome to post on this forum for spares, new team members, frontal lobotomies (essential!) etc.

Remember ’em well. Nicely finished with as you said HUUUUGE mirrors. And as for the SS50….. Well it was my first road legal bike and it taught me a lot about engines. I could strip one down blindfolded back then as they weren’t the most reliable of beasts. It was a 5 speed and it was pretty quick when it went. Still think the FS1E was the better of the 50’s from that era. Exhaust didn’t burn your leg either! Look forward to hearing about the moped’s progress Cookeye.

PS Welcome to the forum Katana, hope you like it.

Wow, £180 and ‘reserve not met’ when I looked. That suprised me as well. I think it would only be someone doing a full nut and bolt restoration that would pay this sort of money.

Nice idea. Would probably be a good “stop gap” until we got a few more experts on board for an all singing and dancing technical forum. I’ll start a technical/advice category in the new year. Any other ideas?

Make a new text document on your desktop (right click, New, Text document).

    Double click to open

Copy these lines into it (or cut and paste)

    Start iexplore.exe https://www.bikemeet.net
    Start calc.exe
    Start notepad.exe

    Save the file and exit

    Rename the file to go.bat

Double click the go.bat icon to run.

Think there may be a size limit on the rear wheel diameter too with that axle, worth checking out if you want to go big at the back end. As you can see, I thought a lot a few years ago about using this axle for one of my projects!
