Was at the Snow Dome the other day. Not bad!

    They’re terrific.
They all also provide somewhere to shower, etc.

The smallest site to my knowledge being at Glasnakille on the Isle of Skye, a 2-wigwam affair where you use the landlord’s own shower and toilet facilities.
One of the bigger ones is ‘Pot-a-doodle-doo’, Northumberland, with shower block, toilets, kitchen, etc.

Talking about Skye, it is one of my favourite places and we have decided to buy a holiday home there. Looking hard as we speak.
Utterly utterly gorgeous part of the UK in my opinion.

I have stayed at 2 locations, near Lindisfarne and on the Isle of Skye, but they are dotted about everywhere almost and more are being added all the time.

The Morini ‘three and a half’ sport was a great bike, only the ridiculous riding position (clip-ons and forward footrests) marred the experience.
Not quick, but just a lovely engine.

Actually the Fantic Chopper, in 50cc and 125cc guise, fetch a fortune these days.

One example, a restored 50cc fetched £5000 recently.

Talking of crossing continents, i heard earlier this year of a Californian guy who is building half a dozen Gold Wing-style mega-cruisers, with 3-cylinder diesel power offering 100+ bhp at just 3000 rpm and 200+ lbs/ft at only 1800 rpm.
Coast to coast, two-up in comfort!

Look up Glamis and also Competition Hill.
Bikes and trikes and quads plus sand make for mayhem and adrenalin like you’d never believe.

Some of the Dune Buggies are crazy too.
Try 500 bhp in vehicles weighing about the same as a Smart Car, and you’ll get the idea.

The Vee-Max was simply given another 30 bhp and a paddle tyre for the sand.

Traction? Just a bit. 100mph on sand up a 1 in 3 hill (Competitiion Hill, Glamis) is the biggest buzz you could ever get on 2 wheels, trust me.

‘king mindblowing. Yes, i said one in three, you feel you are climbing a ladder virtually, but at 100 mph.

Only sky-diving comes close to the rush that bike gave me.

The Kawasaki H1 was wild alright.
Race-spec Denco chambers, lotsa porting changes and a set of big Mikunis had that thing putting out about 80bhp.
Let’s say the handling was ‘interesting’.
