Is it cheaper to have a water meter fitted to your domestic supply than paying for an annual bill?

Well that depends on how much water you use. Some people find it cheaper cos they dont use the amount they are paying for in their rates, and it also depends on how much your supplier charges. It would not make enough difference to my bill to change, but a childless couple or someone that spends more time elsewhere rather than at home, may benefit.[

Well I guess if you are spending £500 a year on rates but only using £250 worth, then you’d care…..unless you can afford to throw money away?
