Neve done it myself, but basically involves getting a set of vacum gauges attached to the carbs to ensure that they are all supplying fuel/mix at the same rate. Out of balnce carbs can give rise to the kind of noise you are describing. Would need to hear it to be sure, but it might be worth getting it done at a local bike shope especially as you had the carbs apart to clean them
