Naoki Matsudo has reached an agreement with Kawasaki to become the development rider for the factory´s MotoGP project. His debut with the Ninja ZX-RR will come inside ten days in the Sepang Test, where he will be accompanied by official riders Shinya Nakano, Randy De Puniet and possibly Olivier Jacque.

His work with Kawasaki Racing will concentrate principally on the testing and evolution of the project that the Japanese constructor will carry out throughout the year in Japan. Matsudo has also been assured that he will participate in, at the very least, one MotoGP race in the 2006 season as a wildcard.

The 32 year old Japanese has arrived after a prolonged stay in the 250cc class, always on a Yamaha. Two ninth places, achieved in 2001 and 2003, were his best results in the final standings for the quarter litre category. Last season he was able to enjoy his debut in the MotoGP class, taking part in the Japanese Grand Prix in Motegi as a wildcard rider for Moriwaki racing. However, the experience wasn´t too satisfactory, seeing as he was forced to retire without completing so much as a single lap. The Japanese rider suffered a fall and, although he got back into the race, he finally had to go through the pit lane and withdraw from the Grand Prix.

LOVE IS GIVING SOMEONE THE ABILITY TO DESTROY YOU, THEN TRUSTING THEM NOT TO.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, But rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, VODKA in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming…….WOO HOO, WHAT A RIDE!!
