The A470 quite good from Newtown, like most welsh roads, all are better than crap we have here, but the real treat is the A44 from Llangurig to Aberystwyth, nice twisty, varies through “wooded” areas and mountainous areas, good surface which is a bonus too, try it, excellent
]The whole of the A44 from J7 M5 is great, but it does get better from Cross gates onwards.Then theres the length of the A483,all of it! The A470, My fav stretch of this one is about 60 miles north of the A470/A44/A483 junstions area, running between Blaenau Ffestiniog and Betws-Y-Coed. It was resurfaced about 18 months ago. Loverly jubberly!
