    speaking of which..One of the down pipes on the 2 into 4 exhaust on my GSX1100 snapped just as it entered the balance box; and I couldn’t afford a new exhaust at the time, and it was in a really bad position for patching up. I didn’t know any welders so I went in my garage, found a chrome tube off a Vax carpet shampoo m/c, cut a 5″ pc off and stuffed it half and half into the downpipe and the balance box. Clagged it all round with exhaust putty and that was it job done! Passed its MOT and sounded great; there was one strange side effect though………………..

    We used to go to Rhyl or Southport from Liverpool for a bag of chips when we were 17, (nearly 30yrs ago) and even now when I go to Liverpool from Leicester, I have to bring savoury cakes back from the ‘Wok you Like’ chippy in Aintree for me kids.
