I think virtually everbody from Brum used to go to Somerset on holiday for ‘factory fortnight’ back in the day!
RadarModeratorI think the SV would suit you sir.
Quite like the idea of the naked one. Cheap and simple fun
RadarModeratorWhat about a Honda CRF 230 f, they are good enough to green Lane with and also are a little lower iirc than a lot of the other dirt bikes.
Oddly enough I used one of these when I did the off roading course in Wales back in 2014, did you see the review of the bike I penned at the time?

Only trouble they are hard to find in decent nick and can attract thieves, as can all dirt bikes to be honest.
Good shout though Pete
RadarModeratorI used go there with my family as a young child in 1970’s. My Dad driving our venerable 1963 Ford Zephyr Mk3. Must have go through there on the Ducati. It does get packed with cars and coaches in the summer so you picked a clever time to go. Great to see investigating the caves themselves too. Brings back some memories
RadarModeratorIt really was one of the best motorcycle museums I have seen. Lots of interesting, rare stuff and very well laid out. As you said, most bikes were in pristine condition.
I would have to agree, I rate it above the National Motorcycle Museum for example
RadarModeratorThink these were at the NEC, they are pretty large bikes in the flesh!
They are certainly heavy and I think that needs to be addressed before they take a real chunk of the big bike market. Oh and the cost…
RadarModeratorBrilliant – non-sectarian just like it should be.
Spot on. I was surprised to see so many big and custom bikes there, you tend to think Taliban on Chinese 125s if you think of bikes in the context of the area at all. Good to see biking bringing folks together all over the world
RadarModeratorThey are doing a rather tasty naked version now too

RadarModeratorFair to say Gix didn’t think much of the FZ1000….made me smile re-reading this and I even dug out a picture of her with the bike to add a little emphasis…

Really interesting place.
Be a great location for one of your Vlogs, it really would.
I linked my blog to their FB page and got this pleasing feedback…

Really good set up, I thing you would enjoy a poke about. Dust off the 9R come spring and we can raid
RadarModeratorIt is a little disappointing, but the rest of the bike is so much fun, it compensates for it!
It does look a proper ‘fun-bus’ it has to be said!
RadarModeratorJust fixed the picture links on this old blog (good old photobucket), but still great to read over this. Very quirky place, well worth a visit
RadarModeratorThose issues with the clutch are disappointing on a brand new bike, but at least the dealer sorted them without quibble. I can only think a new dash panel is the answer to the condensation issue. Interesting to note the weak rear brake, I have the same problem with the one on my MV, but it did at least pass an MOT
