Thank you kind sir’s
PINGUParticipantNot sure if I ever posted the photo’s of the Trophy in the finished state…just before she went to pastures new.
The tail unit which includes side panels are once again hand made, took me bloody ages to get right. Just a screw on either side and the whole lot hinges forward…pretty coolPINGUParticipantThanks for the warm welcome guys, this one wasn’t built by me this time, I wanted something a bit special but couldn’t wait while I built it…too impatient!
She’s not that much longer than standard really just very very low, photo’s don’t do the bike justice…much better looking in the ‘Metal’
I’ll put some pics up of our VW Trike (now sold) when I get a bit of time, that was some project…watch this space!!!PINGUParticipantA man placed some flowers on the grave of his dearly departed mother and started back toward his car when his attention was diverted to this biker kneeling at a grave nearby.
The biker seemed to be praying with profound intensity and kept repeating,
“Why did you have to die? Why did you have to die?”
The first man approached him and said, “Sir, I don’t wish to interfere with your private grief, but this demonstration of pain is more than I’ve ever seen before.
For whom do you mourn so deeply? A child? A parent?”
The biker took a moment to collect himself, and then replied, “My wife’s first husband.”
PINGUParticipantPhil
It’s all gone Ebay now, I had some real problems sourcing parts for my Triumph Fighter had to buy parts which I couldn’t look at first not great…just a lottery with Ebay stuff half the timePINGUParticipantHiya Phil,
so what do you ride then?PINGUParticipantNot sure what the problem is as it seems to work fine for some but not for others…
modern technology eh!PINGUParticipantThanks Gix
Yeah they can take a while to load – some of them are pretty big.
Glad to hear it works for someone else, my mate (Wal) can’t get the site to work for some reason says the next/home buttons don’t work???
could be a Java thing…needs a coffee!PINGUParticipantWell done on the pass and welcome, you’ll love it here great people r we bikers…
by the way your little drop, we’ve all done it or almost done it at some point don’t sweat it too much.A good tip is don’t park facing down hill if you can help it as the bike can roll slightly and cause the stand to flip up, if you do have to park on an incline put your bike in gear (engine off) and roll it forward a touch before you put the stand down, this will stop it falling over so easily and it makes pulling away easier too especially if your on a busy
street leaving the bike between parked cars – it’s safer pulling out forwards than trying to push the bike back up a camber into moving traffic.
And now you’ve polished those forks – put a little ‘vasaline’ on to the legs (of the forks not yours) stops the road salt for longer and they stay shiny longer, just on the ally not the chrome your fork seals won’t appreciate it much.any questions just ask…we look after each other cos no bugger else will!
PINGUParticipantGet shot of Bikesure (Adrian Flux) they wanted
£194 for my 900 Trophy Fighter and £140 for it standard!!!Down to £114 with performance direct
and if you put a few coats of clear laquer on blackboard paint it looks like my fighter does!!! (see pics in Members bikes) and u don’t have to re-paint it every time it gets dirtyPINGUParticipantThanks for that folks, it’s getting there – still a few things to get right but the real hard work is all done now. fingers firmly crossed!!!
No plans to change clocks at the minute (although I have seen some that I like) why do you ask Radar?
PINGUParticipantBrake bleeding problems, if you have a problem getting a good ‘pedal’ there may be a void in your caliper/calipers especially if the bleed nipple is below the very top of the caliper – remove the offending caliper and place a smooth spanner between pads (to act as the disc) then turn the caliper until the bleed nipple is right at the highest point do this slowly, you’ll need an assistant then gently apply the brake using very small movements or you could flip a seal in the master cylinder which is a REAL pain in the ‘arris!
tapping along the brake line can also help when bleeding the brakes.PINGUParticipantthanks for that. Although loud is more like it, those pipes come with straight thru baffles which do nowt! had to buy after market baffles which still did little to keep the noise down so these were wrapped in steel wool and it’s still bloody loud!!!
I need to find something to shut it up a little (well maybe cos I do like scaring the s#@t out of myopic car drivers!)PINGUParticipantCheers All, it seems to look much better in photo’s and more blue – it’s actually PURPLE according to the log book?
The rally was OK but not as good as it used to be (or I’m just gettin’ old!) good fun though.
oh and I’ll have to let the Electric company know about that fence…it belongs to a sub station in Whitehouse Common, Sutton Coldfield.___________________________
