    Thanks guys.

I have graphics sorted out, it should be looking more ‘rally’ in a few weeks.

I need to ride by my sticker man next week so he can get some pics to photoshop graphics ideas and logo placement.

I will keep you all updated and I progress with preparations

** thanks for the positive words imperial, I had noticed.

Cover your bike every 3 months in ACF-50, no more corrosion, EVER, but be careful, its creeping oil, mind your seat and pegs etc.

When riding your bike in the wet, leave your gloves on the engine to dry when you stop.

Clean you back wheel with Degreaser, wipe when clean with WD-40.

Knee’s getting cold while your on a ride, be a tramp, newpaper is a good insulator.

Like a coffee while your camping, take coffee pads!

Always take extra milk/sugar etc at coffee stops, good for that morning coffee I need.

If you do like to camp, dont forget yer pee bottle, nothing worse than crawling out of a warm sleeping bag and hopping over muddy grass in the middle of the night.

Okey here goes, I spent years licking the showroom windows looking at the RK gix when it came out, only 500 were ever made. When i got divoced i promised myself one, its a unforgiving machine, totally track focused, so I retired it before I killed it, or it me. It now lives in my living room.
The Monkey bike was 2 weeks old when my brother T-boned an Audi with it, so i got it for 200 euro, totally pimped it up hoping my wife would ride it, she sat on it, popped a massive wheely and said never again.
The MT5 is just for larking around in the woods.
The electric scoot is for nipping to the cornershop/bakery.

The CBX was filling a friends garage, so i got that cheap, i made it run and havent done much more with it.
The Peugeot vogue is good for getting to work when the weather is more extreme, no suspension, all or nothing, never break, foot out in front supermotor cornering style!
The pitbike is for racing on the Go Kart circuit, you wont find cheaper racing anywhere anyhow!!
And my Beemer is my treat to myself because I have a disease in my spine and my riding days are numbered! So im going out in style! And its the best bike ive ever owned! And i cant believe im saying that!!

I would say stop every hour, if you need to or not, dont just stand there either, move around, stamp your feet.

Tank up before your fuel warning light come on.

Layers, as the other members said. Base layer, insulating layer, windstopping layer, then good protective equipment. Make sure your neck is sealed off from the wind, you loose a lot of heat through your neck.
I also find a good old sing song inside my helmet works wonders, driving into bad weather, prepared, and with a smile on your face is half of the battle won.

I would love to do that one day. Perhaps when freed from the shackles of career and mortgage!

I have both, but the shackles are all in the mind [;)]

Hi imperialdata, I would be happy to share my progress with you. The CBR has been resprayed white, ready for stickering up with sponsors logo’s/advertising. I have just taken delivery of my pipe bender so i can begin with building some crash protection into the bike. Triumph UK and Michelin have sent donations to be raffled. ReV-It motorcycle clothing have today agreed to be my equipment sponsor, that just leaves boots and helmet to be sponsored on me!
Why the Honda, good question, reliability was the main attraction, but it could have been any bike.
I would love to video diary my journey, but I have made a pact that I will donate everything to charity in Mongolia, so if someone would like to make a charitable donation of video equipment, I would be more than happy to provide film of my adventure.
