I guess there will always be problems if the product is faulty, no matter how good your customer service is.

Hi Stuart and welcome to the forum. I think all of us who have ridden for a few years have had some contact with either diesel spillage or potholes so big you could call them craters. The more action we take the safer our roads will get (hopefully!). Have you (or any other member) had any bad experiences with diesel spills?

And are you still logged in afterwards, ie is there a logOUT button at the top of the page next to the text saying “you are logged in as…..” ?

What do you see when you click on this link:

Yes, by all means try that. When you say clicking on Private Messages takes you to the general chat page, which page is that? Can you tell me what appears on that page?

I’ve got to agree with Boschel on this one, the R6 does not lend itself to the streetfighter look. I think that if the frame is too large, it distracts the eye from the engine which, to me, is the main thing streetfighters ‘show off’. And as for the wheels on that one above…..well to each his own I guess.

Did you research a lot of magazines in Amsterdam, Katana? [;)]

Chris – Seem to remember you had a problem with a forgotten password when you first registered. This may be causing your messaging problem. If you are using Internet Explorer 5 or above, then try this:

Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.x or above will save the password entered the first time in any password field such as the the Forum99 logon screen.

No matter what you type in to this field, the previously entered password will be used. Microsoft Internet Explorer will insert the password saved the first time (when a pop-up box prompted you with “Do you want this password saved?”). This issue is the result of a Microsoft Internet Explorer setting and can be resolved within Internet Explorer.

Logout of Forum99 and go to any other web site or offline
    Select the Tools menu
    Choose Internet Options
    Click the Content tab
    Click the Auto Complete button
    Click on Clear Password
***This will clear ALL remembered passwords on Internet Explorer, not just your Forum99 password. Please make sure you have all passwords for other sites!***

Return to the forum and login with your name and password. You can store this now if you wish.

Let me know how you get on.

Maybe you should stick with the standard jets and rectify the fault first. Changing to non-standard bits, you will never know what the original fault was and could get a bit lost. Needle position is likely as Rajnish says.

    quote:

All OK to 4,500rpm, then really hesitant (like running on one pot), then at 7500rpm takes off like a scalded cat and pulls hard.

Perhaps you have an RD400 engine in there?

Doh! Sorry for that Tim. I kind of mis-read your post. Did you know there are a few other Lotus guys on here? Radar is certainly ex-Lotus (they got rid of him because he drives too fast) and I’m sure there are others.

Now I understand why ride and handling is so important to you!

To take close up shots like that indoors (presumably with a flash) it must be a good one. Where did you see the Smart?

Smart car looks great and even better without the bodywork! Quality of your shots is excellent, what camera are you using?

Think it’s Steppen Wolf from what I can remember (written on pencil cases at school). I guess ZZ top would be on there somewhere despite their custom car links.

    Alternative bike related CD tracks:

    Jasper Carrott – Funky Moped
    Bye bye Blackbird
    On the (Gold)Wings of love
    If you knew Suzy…..

Not the hardest rock tracks admittedly.

Agreed Radar. Both you and Diablo are in the wrong profession, we should be reading your stuff in the magazines or books.

All those miles on a CB100N or CBZ150 deserves a medal (or at least free chiropractic treatment!)

Yup, nice work on the car and the website
