I never knew you get clamped, I thought it was just a fine. Think I may get the dremmel out and carve a ‘BS’ in the zuast. haha!
ChampsParticipantThats what I need mate cheers. The bike took a good 3-4 seconds longer than the other bikes to accelerate, but once we were half way down the straight we kept up with everyone.
Lighter rollers seem the way to go, they are only £7 a set so I might get a couple of different weights.ChampsParticipantLOUD PIPES SAVES LIVES!
ChampsParticipantHAHA, what a muppet!
ChampsParticipantThey’re the same group that were at the BMF, the blonde girl was quite cute!
ChampsParticipantIts back at East of England Showground
BMF Tail End Show, Peterborough
19-20 September
ChampsParticipantI think we came 30th out of 42 in the class. Pretty good result but I am nursing a few aches and pains. Dropped it once and clipped the wall a couple of times. And my knee sliders have tyre marks on them from getting the chicane exits too tight!
ChampsParticipantHad a good run out with everyone, don’t know how many vehicles but I think its the biggest turn out I have seen from the last few years.
Great work by the 1066 boys and the police which top and tailed the parade.
Sadly, the day was overshadowed by the radiator fan failing, I watched the temperature display climbing 117… 118… 119… and finally gave up and just displayed ‘HI’, which I gathered by the intense heat from between my knees.
I broke away from the parade a couple of times to get some clear air flowing through the rad, above 40mph brought the temp down fairly quickly, but by the time we reached the rose and crown the coolant level in the tank had almost all boiled off.
Got to a petrol station to fill it up with some new coolant, but will empty it out again when I replace the fan.
Happy Days
Heres some pics.

The boys from unique concepts were showing off their artwork
And there was some other incredible looking bikes too
Decent crowd as always
ChampsParticipantLMAO! I now have this image of a bassets pole meet with airjackets going off.
Macdonalds… full of bikers with deflated air bags hanging out their jackets.
HAHA!
Anyways, I have found a few jackets on sale, average price is US$395 which is roughly about £280.
ChampsParticipantI like the idea, but I bet they aren’t cheap. I accept that you can’t put a price on safety but still you need to weigh the odds.
Helmets are law, but at the same time you can pick up a decent one for £80. Can’t see an airbag jacket being that cheap.
ChampsParticipantYeah, its nice to see bikes getting the better side of the news. They will be taking over next!
However, I wonder how the new bike test rules effect bike sales this time next year.
ChampsParticipantThats pretty impressive, whats the last one?
ChampsParticipantwithdrawn after two fatal crashes??
RIP to the riders, but in my opinion, imagine if the fire service decided they weren’t going to fight fires because people have been killed.
I am glad they put the bikes back on the road. Plus, those 1200’s can chase baddies across fields better the the pan’s.
