WSB started today from Valencia. Just watched 4hrs of it on Eurosport.

Mainly a Ducati field now but a few R1’s, the new CBR1000 Fireblade , GSXR1000’s, Kawasaki ZX10 and the two Foggy Petronas bikes.

Racing was pretty boring but good results for James Toseland who got a 1st and 2nd. Chris walker was 3rd in the first race which probably pissed Troy Corser off as he has had a full season on the FP1.
Haga won the 2nd race, Laconi, the favourite for 2004, had 2 DNF’s.

All bikes are using Pirellis and it shows. Have to see what the next race brings from Philip Island

Still picture the early 90’s bruiser when I see ZX10 mentioned. Somehow I think that it would be a touch outclassed.
BBC tried hard to talk up the series on their coverage today, but the racing wasn’t the best. Toseland just seemed to walk away with it early on in the 1st race. Haven’t seen the race as my VCR ran out of tape! Doh!
Thanks for the update Scouser and keep us posted about Moto GP when it gets underway in a few weeks.
